Will you be watching Trump's first SOTU?

I hope someone runs it through that software that estimates the grade level based on vocabulary and syntax. I'm predicting third grade.
 
I'm still hoping Trump will deliver the SOTU as a single confusingly-worded, hyperbolic, inaccurate, and misspelled Tweet.

The Constitution requires the President tell Congress about the state of the Union somehow. It doesn't require a televised grandstanding event. Originally, the Presidents just sent Congress a letter every year, and a Congressional clerk would read it into the record.

Seems to me a that a Tweet would meet the Constitutional requirement just as well as a letter. And it would make everybody's head explode.
 
I won't be watching. I normally watch these things. I can't articulate how much I despise Trump. I switch the TV and radio when his voice comes on, even when it is negative coverage of him, I'd rather read about what he said than endure listening to his voice. I'd rather listen to finger nails on a chalk board or The Proclaimers sing "500 miles".

Why would you think Trump would change his lying con-job now?

He'll say they repealed the ACA mandate and are on track to replace the ACA.

There was a Trump voter on the news this morning (NPR) saying how great Trump was because he defeated ISIS and the MSN wasn't covering that and giving Trump credit.

Trump will most definitely claim in the SOTU that he defeated ISIS.

I'm surprised you think he cares about that.

One of the defining characteristics of Trump is not that he tells lies or attempts to conceal the truth, it is that he has no concern whatsoever for what is true or false.

He could go up on stage and say "Thanks to all the great voters who made me president we are now fixing healthcare, and taxes and making better jobs and defeating ISIS and forcing Kim Jong un into talks with North Korea and bringing tremendous gains to the United States and making our military and our law enforcement stronger than it has ever been in the history of this United State of America and putting America First! America First! America First! I promised to Make America Great Again and that has now happened. I am the best, thank you God!"

The fun will be in seeing if the actual speech matches the text. They generally provide the press with a hard copy moments beforehand so they can get things ready, but with Donnie Johnny you have to pay attention because he can turn "We've had a very good year, passing a landmark tax cut" into "We've had a very good year, did you see those crowds at my rallies and all the states I carried?"

Depending on who's doing the studio work, I may actually watch it on Fox, the only outlet I have here that will cover it.
 
I couldn't watch even if I want to; I have to throw up every time I see or hear the orange baboon. I'll wait for the highlights on Stephen Colbert's show or The Daily Show.
