Cont: The Trump Presidency Part IV

The only reason The PDJT has any support at all right now is because he's in a position of power. Once he's out, none of his monetary supporters are going to want to be associated with him (except maybe TMZ). The "base" won't matter because they don't have any money.

He'll go bankrupt and make several lame attempts at new reality shows.

Note that Trump is basically only concerned with what his "base" thinks about him bashing poor, generally black or Hispanic countries, and people for that matter.

He wasn't concerned at all about looking like a racist bigot, only his aides found that concerning. After all many of his voters are either racist bigots or are willing to ignore any outbursts that come off as bigoted.

Well, it's more that Cheeto Benito thinks that simply saying "I'm the least racist person you'll ever meet." is convincing.

It's not, of course. There's a reason why proto-KKKers dress up like him to march around attacking nonwhite people and screeching about "the jews", while civil rights leaders young and old all refuse to be seen with him.

The administration is trying to move ahead with legislation that will protect healthcare workers who have moral or religious objections to performing abortions, treating transgender patients, etc.

The Trump administration is planning new protections for health workers who don't want to perform abortions, refuse to treat transgender patients based on their gender identity or provide other services for which they have moral objections.

Under a proposed rule — which has been closely guarded at HHS and is now under review by the White House — the HHS office in charge of civil rights would be empowered to further shield these workers and punish organizations that don’t allow them to express their moral objections, according to sources on and off the Hill.

HHS did not respond to multiple requests for comment. However, HHS’ leaders have repeatedly criticized the Obama administration for rolling back regulations dating to the George W. Bush administration that legally insulated health care workers while affirming their religious freedoms.

Any word if the Fake News awards are still on for this evening?

They are having a news briefing right now but it's some guy talking about crap no one cares about like foreigners committing terrorism. There'd better be a award show after this otherwise I'm going to be really *********** upset.

He's hoping we've forgotten.

This is just par for the course. Make the announcement. It makes big news. When the date comes, defer to a later date. It makes less news notice. When the later date comes, send Sarah Suckabee out to say, "We'll let you know, I know you all can't wait to see if you're winners". [Laughter in the room] That's even less news attention. And voilá, the issue dies.

Trump tweeted his black approval rating has doubled. It hasn't.
President Donald Trump bragged on Twitter that his approval rating with black Americans has doubled. It hasn't.

Only 15% of black Americans said they approved of Trump's job performance in the days following his inauguration last January — and it's only gone downhill from there. In the most recent Gallup weekly numbers, only 6% of black Americans said they approved of the President's job performance.
The most recent CNN polling, from December, shows that only 3% of black Americans said they approved of how Trump is handling his job nearly a year into his White House tenure. A whopping 91% said they disapproved.

Trump is either delusional or a liar.
Oops...fixed that myself.

Fire and Fury to be made into a TV series.

Michael Wolff's controversial Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House is coming to television.

Endeavor Content — the financing and sales arm formed in October between sister companies William Morris Endeavor and IMG — has purchased film and television rights to the No. 1 best-selling book. The massive deal is said to be in the seven-figure range. Endeavor Content plans to adapt the book as a television series. A network is not yet attached, as Endeavor will now begin shopping the series.

Wolff will executive produce the series, with veteran Channel 4 and BBC executive Michael Jackson — now CEO of indie producer Two Cities Television — also on board to produce.

Fire and Fury, which tells the inside story of Donald Trump’s first year as president based on Wolff’s exclusive access to the White House, has been the publishing sensation of 2018. The book had attracted little attention since it was first announced in November. But in early January The Guardian leaked news from the heavily embargoed book and authorized excerpts in New York and a column The Hollywood Reporter — where Wolff serves as a columnist — created a sensation. President Trump attacked both the book and former adviser Steve Bannon, who was one of Wolff’s principal sources. Bannon later stepped down from Breitbart News in the aftermath of the publication of his comments in the book.
