Cont: The Trump Presidency Part IV

But how can that be? How can (what appears to be) an independent credit rating agency think things are getting worse? Trump was making America great again! His tax cuts were supposed to give a chicken in every pot, and his infrastructure plan would have literally seen the streets paved in gold!

Ok, having a huge ballooning deficit, a president who wants to blow up every trade deal and a congress who can't seem to do anything right might not help... but still, Make America Great Again! Maybe allowing companies to dump coal sludge into water doesn't provide quite the economic boon that was expected.

You are also welcome to think that. I think it's a distinction without a difference. It's also wholly unimportant.
That an opinion is correct is not a distinction without a difference.

Try, dear sir, to learn the meaning of the words you use.

Yes, the "house" vs "hole" argument is one of the stupidest things surrounding this presidency, and that's saying something. Both words mean the same thing, and it's the context that matters anyway. He could have said "toilet", or "dump", or any number of other words and it would all be exactly the same.

As was trying to pull one over on the citizens calling it "strong language" and bypassing the bigotry of the comments.

Saw a thing on CNN the other night, where the title on the screen said

Psychiatrist: Maybe Trump is just a jerk?

Yep, it's time to start attributing all this to him being a buffoon who doesn't know better, and start calling it like it is: the guy is a total *******.

Enough with the benefit of the doubt.

Pretty much my thoughts. I'd have been relieved to find out Trump had a bona fide medical problem to explain his behavior because something could have been done about it, either medically or by invoking the 25th Amendment. As it is, it just supports that he is, by his nature, a lying, petty, disgusting, erratic narcissist with the emotional maturity of a 12 year old. And there's nothing that can be done about that.

The distinction without a difference is in saying Trump's business as opposed to Trump Tower, given that Trump Tower is part of Trump's business.

I take your point, but if the issue is whether Trump Tower served as a means of laundering money or whether it was Trump's organization is a little relevant. The latter suggests a more intimate connection to Trump than the former. I think that was the reason for the original objection.

Someone pointed out that Trump has been president for 360 days. He's spent 95 of those days on one of his golf courses. He's spent 26.4% of his days golfing. That's over a quarter of his presidency.

Wow, what a complete ass clown. The Bushes even did this. I'm sure that it appeals to his base, not observing MLK day.

I'm perfectly fine with him keeping MLK Jr's name out of his mouth, since he advocates everything the Civil Rights Movement has fought against for well over a century.

GWB openly desired to bring black and Hispanic Americans into the GOP, promoting people like Connie Rice and Colin Powell to appropriate roles (as opposed to putting a surgeon in charge of HUD), and, to my personal disgust, pushing for anti-marriage equality laws in order to get black evangelicals on his side. He was also in favor of immigration reform, although his base burned the hell out of that bridge.
