Hillary Clinton is Done: part 4

People believe in chemtrails god and all kinds of silliness. Why are people suddenly correct when it comes to polls about Hillary?

Pretty sad for our country if she is the most admired woman in America. Funny because she is at the top of my most despicable list. I've never heard anyone, including some die-hard liberal friends of mine, that they admired her. Obviously some do.

People are idiots, that's why we at ISF are here. I question the poll as well as why it is significant.

Oh, but it's the liberal news media and its fake news. Or the poll was fixed. Or it was the way the poll was conducted. Or something or other.

This forum is all about critical thinking, which includes picking apart polls, statistics and other information to see if it passes the smell test. Suddenly that is bad form because you found a poll you like? Sorry man, but I saw a lot of polls during the election and they were obviously BS.

Hillary well admired - okay sure whatever that means. Do YOU think she deserves the title?

ETA:
I'd say I admire her strength and determination, but on the other hand it may just be greed and lust for power, so nothing to admire. Ya, it's the latter ;)

My sincere apologies, but my wife also considers me adorable and she found me first.

I carefully considered using "majority" when I wrote my post but then I looked up the term "most" in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary and found the following as the primary definitions:
1 : greatest in quantity, extent, or degree- the most ability
2 : the majority of- most people
Separately looking up synonyms I found (among others) "greater."

So (sew?) "most" served perfectly well in describing how more people like her than do not. So I used it. Further, if you re-examine my post you will see I used "most" in reference to how "most" Americans view Clinton compared to your own views of her.

"Okay, you see her as the very devil (although I would expect much more direct evil from the devil). But most people in the USA disagree with you."

I suspect that even by a definition of "most" as referring to a large majority, "most" people in the USA do not share the depth of the negative views you have of her.

I do agree that many, perhaps even "most" Americans know that Hillary set up an email server to evade the rules that apply to government email (see my post above). And I recognize that you find it very upsetting that "most" Americans don't find this a serious enough concern to change their views of her as "most" admired woman. But really- was it "a direct and very predictable result" of Hillary's use of a private email server that classified information ended up "on the laptop of world famous pervert." I suspect that surprised everyone. Including, "most" likely, the penal poster himself.

Most people did not vote for her, most people do not consider her the most admirable woman.

She worked very hard for my state, was extremely effective at advocating for it's causes and her very worthwhile causes, worked very hard and effectively for AIDS and HIV issues globally, was very competent and effective as SoS, and by almost all accounts is very good to work with, taking on tasks with genuine enthusiasm.

She's not without faults, no one is, but almost ever time I've been skeptical of her or her detractors have bleated their mindless accusations, I've been surprised to learn that on researching the criticisms almost always have no merit. I was a lot more critical of her before being made to look closer by people like, well, you. That people react so negatively to her is a bit baffling, but then again she is a strong Democrat woman (not as progressive as I'd personally like), and many people are automatically against all those things.

Why do you think she doesn't deserve it?

(Note that I didn't list her pissing off conservatives and Republicans as a positive, although that often does make me laugh.)

The title of this thread is, "Hillary Clinton is Done." The fact that she continues to be the most admired woman in the US in a well established poll that goes back many decades indicates she is not done- if she doesn't wish to be. If I or you admire her is a different question. I know you and The Big Dog absolutely despise her. And I am not surprised you know of others who share that view. But I know of a lot of people who think she has contributed positively to the country and that they like the way she has helped bring a forceful woman's perspective to US politics. I have no reason to doubt the poll, even recognizing that admire means a lot of different things. I didn't have to go looking in crevices to find this particular poll: it is the major popularity poll each year and has been highlighted in the news every year as far as I can remember.

I think she is no worse than the average politician terms of scruples and better than many. She is not anywhere near the top of my list of favorite politicians but I think to absolutely despise her makes no sense at all. I think that Hillary hatred comes from buying into a long subtle Republican smear campaign. My opinion.

As to why what people think is suddenly important when it comes to Clinton? Because that's how democracy works.

STOP THE PRESS

According to Fox News, Hillary Clintons ratings a down again.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...-popularity-hits-all-time-low-poll-shows.html

She should not be president. Erm in Congress. Um, a Senator. Oh, nevermind.

It's a Gallup poll and was covered on numerous outlets other than Fox. But I guess it confirms the OP 'lo those many years ago and we can close the thread.

OTOH, I do so love the panel discussions and pundits listing the septuagenarians as the 2020 front-runners. Let them spill their bile on Hillary and Bernie and Joe and Pocahontas.

She won that poll 16 years in a row yet she couldn’t get elected over Donald Frickin’ Trump. You can certainly stick a fork in her as far as presidential politics goes. Maybe that’s unfair but I think it shows that this doesn’t really mean much.

Or it might hint at the barrier that women face when running for election.

No, no! This thread is an important repository for certain posters. Every negative word written or every negative fact disclosed, it gives them somewhere to go to exorcise their Hillary demon. Clinton's been done since seven a.m. the morning after the election. The GOP can't run on what they have done or want to do so have to run against someone. It's still Hillary and Obama. Hillary should shut up and remain aloof like Obama has. She won't and maybe can't, but it's basically over. Done. Kaput.

But as I've said, I do love that the conservosphere is running against septuagenarians. (Warren's my age - I wouldn't be up to running the USA in three years; Hillary's older; so's Bernie. The Dems are not going to get out the vote with a bunch of by-products of the 60s. Bernie born in '41, Biden in 42, Hillary in '47, Warren in '49.) Their time is over. They should be the eminences grises of the party, not the front-runners and standard bearers.

Wait, what? You can argue that she got a bad hand from Obama and Kerry, but how can the world be seen as bettered by her tenure?

Hard to say as we have no alternate reality to compare to. I think she was a capable and effective SoS, but compared to a hypothetical perfect SoS, she was worse.

Hey, "certain posters" you have been measured and found wanting.

By the way:

"But as I've said, I do love that the conservosphere is running against septuagenarians." Darn "conservosphere" "running" against "septuagenarians," and not all those all other democrats that FMW mentioned in his post which are the REAL candidates!

lololol!

You're making less sense than usual. All the Dems I mentioned are going to be septuagenarians by the 2020 election. Does anyone aside from wishful-thinking conservatives think that the Democratic Party is going to nominate even the youngest of them, who will be older than the current dementia-riddled occupant of the oval office. We've had such good results with out most senior presidents: William Henry Harrison, who it could fairly be said didn't have the sense to come in out of the rain. Ronald Reagan who spent his last few years wandering the East Wing saying to Nancy, "Mommy, I think I heard the twenty-mule-team out in the rose garden. Is Bonzo coming for dinner, again?" Donald Trump, who it's difficult to determine if he's just incredibly stupid or has totally lost his mind.

The reason the pollsters show those old geezers as the leading candidates at present is brand recognition. They're known entities. They will not be the names on the list after things start sorting themselves out when the 2018 off-year elections are done. Right now, they're stalking horses and a great distraction.

Yeah, I noticed her sterling work on the middle east, ISIS, russia, ukraine, north korea... etc etc.

She's the most overhyped American public figure sobe George McClellan.

:eye-poppi

Might want to go back and check your post where you wrote:

"I do love that the conservosphere is running against septuagenarians," as if it were the "conservosphere's" (whatever the **** that is supposed to mean) that made the democrats dinosaurs.
