Merged The Roy Moore Batcrap Crazy Remark Thread/Roy Moore Is Done

I suspect that I am not alone in fearing that the USA has increasingly become the stereotype of a "banana republic" in which the "wrong" election results (those that displease the individuals in power) are questioned, then not certified for one reason or another. In the interest of "fair elections" the election is rerun until the "right" results are obtained. Or re-districting to assure the "right" results.

At least it is unlikely that Jones will meet with "an unfortunate accident."

One would hope, but little surprises me anymore.

This is perfectly normal.

Damnit, it should be illegal to vote against a guy just because you disagree with his entire platform!

The result of this election makes me not worried about that. The Secretary of State in Alabama is certifying the results. He'll be seated in January as was planned. We have an outlier president, but our checks and balances seem to be working. There's no no need to panic yet.

This Secretary of State?

A Doug Jones Supporter Misspoke. Alabama’s Republican Secretary of State Launched a Voter Fraud Investigation.

Republican Secretary of State John Merrill refused to prepare for high turnout, leading to confusion and long lines; poll workers spread misinformation at understaffed precincts; and some citizens were initially denied a ballot due to a recent “refresh” of the voter rolls. But Merrill does not plan to investigate the calamitous (and possibly illegal) glitches that his office is supposed to be responsible for addressing. Instead, he has chosen to launch a frivolous, partisan investigation based on one ambiguous quote.

Don't hold your breath on that. I have not been willing or able to put the idea of republicker evil doings away. They are low enough to try anything to stay in power - and I want them stopped cold!!!

Moore is still not conceding. This is now in The Black Knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail territory...

"Tis But A Scratch"...

I'm going to go out on a limb, here. Moore will continue to not concede as long as he has dumfutzes willing to contribute to his fundraising to fight this thing, whatever "this thing" is. He's a bible-thumper and is following the lead of his spiritual leaders who raise money all the time because Jesus told them to raise a million dollars to spread the word of the Lord, which action consists of going on television and on speaking tours to raise even more money to spread the word of the Lord.

How deep in debt is the Moore campaign? Always follow the money. Could be a real good romp when the next Gubernatorial campaign comes up in Alabama. Moore may have a new career as a "Runner For Office".

Alabama Secretary of State say he will confirm Jones is the new Senator sometime this week.
Roy Moore is becoming a national laughing stock.

Well, he's been an international laughing stock since before the election so its good that America is catching up with the rest of us.
