I'm hoping that Jones wins, Moore demands a recount, but because the Alabama Supreme Court said "go ahead and destroy the records" a recount is nearly impossible.

If records have been destroyed, then surely a recount is just impossible? nothing 'nearly' about it. You can't count what doesn't exist.

Even more than that (and discounting the fact he's an anti-Constitution theocratic loon) is that many national Republicans came out strongly against him before going back and giving in to supporting him or at least staying out of the way. This is absolute proof of a major moral failing because new facts didn't come out to exonerate Moore. They strongly believed he was unfit and assaulted teenage girls but supported him anyway.

The rot runs very deep. The cowing to authority tendency probably doesn't help. Major props to those Republicans and conservatives who stood firm against this lunacy.
