Superdelegates are not beholden to the voters, and the regular ones _were_ determined by primaries and caucuses. So what's the issue?

For one thing, you don't know who might have the other copy.

(It's also not true that there are two copies of every email. Most, but not all, clients save a copy of sent email, at least by default, but this is not necessary.)

Finally, if I were trying to hide certain communications, and if the recipients/senders of the emails were allies of mine, I would give them a list of emails I would like them to delete.

Aren't those supposed to be classified e-mails and such? I'd think they're from government sources.

There were still originally at least two. Whether or not one or more were subsequently deleted doesn't change that.

If they were sent from government servers, I'd think that one could find at least a record of the emails that are missing, if not the text. But there is also an issue of whether Hillary sent classified email to persons not in the government.

Maybe that's true for your email client, but it is not universal at all. Some save a copy by default, some do not save a copy by default and early email clients (still in some use) did not, I think, even have an option to save a copy.

Some might even delete very old saved messages from time to time.

You cannot assume that the sender has a copy of an email. It's probable they do these days, but it is not a foregone conclusion.

What outcome effecting treatment did they give to Hillary during the Primaries that they didn't give to Sanders? Please be the first to come up with something.

But they sent internal emails where they indicated a preference for Clinton. Clearly that made it impossible for Sanders to win.

Yes, but so what? I think I've made my point clear: you have no guarantee that there is a sender's copy for any email, now or at any time ever (RAM copies notwithstanding, obviously, and they are irretrievable in a very short time).

Some emails have only had a single copy saved to hard drive, that of the recipient.[1]

[1] In fact, there are usually two copies for the recipient, depending on the server and client. The email server will have a copy (maybe temporary and not backed up) and the client machine will also usually have a copy, depending on the server configuration and also on the client.
