Cont: The Trump Presidency Part III

Apparently talk of 25th amendment solutions isn't limited to Internet forums. Bannon is reported to have told Trump that the 25th would be the nitwit-in-chief's undoing. To which, unsurprisingly, Trump replied "What's that?"

The killer in the 25th Admendment is that it does not have be the Cabinent that removes the President.it can also be "of such other body as Congress may by law provide, ".
In other words, the Congress can pass a law, create a group. and remove the POTUS.

If you're going to do that, might as well impeach. They'd have to override a veto to create the body.

And I can win Powerball on Saturday!

John Kelly, apologizer in chief, lying his way through a press conference right now pretending Trump is a great POTUS.

And they won't, for the same reason that they won't impeach.

Trump's there to stay.

With the key difference being that Trump's congress is of the same party as he is, and that politics in the US are a lot more polarized and partisan.

Yeah, if Watergate happened today, people would be earnestly arguing that office breakins are a perfectly legitimate way to conduct a campaign, and besides something something Obummer.

Very poor results from the 2018 election, or the conclusion of Mueller's investigation implicating Trump are the only things that might finish Trump.

We're stuck for at least a year

I would add a serious international crisis being massively mishandled by Trump, risking or even costing US lives by blundering.

It would be kind of messed up if Mueller exonerated Trump but a democratic majority went for impeachment. I think they are going to stick to a "high crimes" rather than terrible at the job.

There is no Democratic majority and despite Trump's best effort, I don't think there will be one in 2018.

It would be ironic, but not messed up.

“No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”

There is plenty to impeach Trump with - especially compared to Bill Clinton.

Rumors about he is going to resign as chief of staff now that his underling (can't recall her name) was just appointed as Sec. of Homeland Security. He didn't want her to get caught in the crossfire of his resignation.

But Clinton is an example with the independent investigator with an open mandate brought a charge. I propose a scenario where Mueller does not do that on anything.

And yet Israel remains a member of UNESCO. It's a good thing they have us to tell them who is against them. I'm sure they'll be withdrawing any minute...

You are right, they just did that:
