We have a man monumentally unfit to be President in the Oval Office. And those who think they can somehow control or manage him are in for a very rude awakening.

The Pavlovian Presidency

Put the idiot in front of a crowd and he'll say anything to get approval. Ooops, it seems he didn't really mean to say that he'd get rid of Puerto Rico's debt.

It's gotten so his aides have to look at dredging up some Russia news to distract from the other bad news he generates and then when that goes south again, they get the rightwing talk machine onto something else.

Any coverage of him cozying up to our general, er, I mean Prime Minister? Las Vegas was breaking as they were meeting so the local censored news media is covering the wishy washy statements as Big News(!) while no other media in the world has even mentioned it. Prayut is so desperate for any kind of positive coverage he's now describing Donnie Johnny as his "good friend". Then again, you get that when you buy some guns (which you aren't allowed to sell us so it was actually a promise to buy some guns) and point out that Thai companies have invested hundreds of millions in the USA. (Thanks for selling us all your major brands of tuna, guys!)

It's sad how the left is so hell-bent on Get Trump that we(as a group) are willing to accept glimmers of hope from reprobates.

Pence, Tillerson, Jared, Ivanka, Kelly, Mattis.... At one point or another we've all been told they are the real powers behind the throne and we just should just keep calm and everything will be fine.

Yeah, I feel so much better that that group of right wing stooges is possibly in control. A group of right wingers who are much more polished than Flynn and Bannon and The Mooch and so will not be called to task because they at least play by the bureaucratic rules while they're ******* things up.

There's no hope in that statement just the stark appraisal of Trump's ineptitude as chaos. Thinking the people that Trump has chosen to surround himself with will protect you from him is foolhardy at best.

Even if it were true, what could the "Senate Intel Committee" do about it? Pass a law against it?
