That site is in some language, not German (of which I do have a smattering) but similar to German. Dutch perhaps? At least the telephone numbers are clearly intelligible.

knob-kerrie (google images will give you the right idea) is really just a wooden stick with a rounded head - a club - as you rightly put it. I'm sure you can probably translate any afrikaans if anyone asks, and I can do the same.

Johan uses a lot of direct-translation words. His english isn't perfect - it's not his first language - and that shouldn't be held against him (as has been done not far upthread).

I did go through that link, just now, finally. Some parts were a bit difficult to follow, due to Google’s somewhat dicey translation at places, but overall a disturbing read. Thanks for pointing out that link to me.

I’d only read some of OP’s posts within this thread (just scattered random selections, nowhere close to everything), and his grandiose proclamations here of his godliness and his all-forgiving grace is what had led me to talk of insanity earlier, but this background information, what I read here just now, is disturbing at more than one level. (I just read all of the single page you linked in your post, didn’t try exploring the website further.)

I mean, the man’s faced rough times, hasn’t he, at a personal level? (Going by just that web page, which admittedly is one man’s entirely one-sided point of view.) Much of that self-inflicted of course, or at least hugely self-exacerbated, but still. If all of what he’s been through has ended up (further) unhinging him, obviously that painful background does not make him not-unhinged, nor does it make his views sane, but I’m not sure I’m very comfortable standing judgment and everything. He does need help, literally, and possibly he knows it himself at some level, but short of somehow getting medical help for him, what else is there to say?

I don’t know, I don’t think I’m coming back to this thread. Nothing to learn here, nothing to contribute here either (so far as I myself am concerned), and nothing to even laugh at without feeling uncomfortable.
