Trump - No transgender individuals in the military

Thought those were called Tomahawks.

:D
Yup, the Longbow is a sensor/fire control system and the name of the AH-64D variant that uses it.

ETA: Much like the more rudimentary weapon, one must put their entire body into it to use it to full effect.

Is anyone making a pure frugality argument? I have not seen it.

If that is the case, then you should reading the very posting in this thread so that you have some idea of what you are talking about.

45 clearly said that his whole rationale is based on money issues.

tbh, the argument isn't solely based on money:

45 said:
Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail.

There's unspecified "disruption" as well as the medical costs (though tremendous appears to be a complete lie),

Interesting how the US military uses the names of people they've committed genocide on for naming their military gear. It's like the German army naming their gear "Jew", "Gypsy", "Commie", or something.

Native groups are generally for these names though. Of course they are using the names the groups apply to themselves and not are applied as epithets to them like those in your example.

There was disappointment expressed with the Cobra attack helicopter.

Trump is a parrot only capable of poorly mimicking things people tell him. To make in argument or rationale you would need an opinion, a set of values and principles, and in possession of at least one fact. He has none of that..

So let's skip him and actually focus on people with an opinion on the issue.

I've built prototypes for the military that cost...more than they could send on transgendered people over the next decade. The idea that this is about cost is, to me, ridiculous.

I know the answer is almost certainly 'no', but has there been any reporting or statement anywhere that clarifies which "Generals and military experts" Trump has consulted with?

Is there anything to suggest this is actually based on actual advice from someone from the military side rather than a straightforward attempt to appeal to Trump's base supporters as a political move?

I have it on good authority that Trump calls his pinkie-toes his "generals".

Most reports just ignore that part.

The truth is, he consulted with no military experts. This is (so far) a PR stunt, and that's all.

That bit about skipping 45 is quite silly because 45 is still the only President we got and he says and does is still of considerable import.

He isn't my president. I don't have a president. We are not on some team.

Also, he is incapable of forming ideas. So taking something he says as an argument gives it way more value than is actually there.

I know what you mean, but...he is the president. It's a powerful position, never forget that.

As an American, Yes, as much as I despise him, Toupee Fiasco is the president. And I'm a small part of the reaction to that.

He is "a" president and "the" president, but not "our" president. Because you and I don't share anything other than proximity.

It works as a distraction, but I'm not sure even Trump's base cares all that much about the issue.
