CNN Doxxes a gif maker

And yet you believe them without question. Apparently their claim doesn't need to be justified.

I agreed with it being possible. You claimed it was impossible - your claim, your evidence.

Perhaps if you took more time to read what I actually said, you'd see I didn't call you a woo-woo. In fact I specifically called you a non-woo.

A difference without a distinction in this post.

747 and 806.

Actually twitter offers it in three resolutions. And it doesn't address all my questions I asked you, not CE.

I wouldn't bother. He keeps lying about the guy getting doxxed when it's absolutely clear that he wasn't. It seems lying is all he's got.

Curious, I provided three separate sources that support the fact that CNN doxxed him.

therefore, someone is lying, and it CERTAINLY isn't me.

Elvis, do you understand why it's impossible to add information in a conversion?

Let's make it simple: Let's say you have a picture of a... I don't know.. a house. And the picture is a 256 colour GIF file that's 800x600 pixels. Then you have another picture, obviously the very same picture, only it's a full HD, 32 million colour RAW file. You say it's more likely that the GIF comes from the RAW but want me to show you how the reverse is impossible? You're asking me to prove a negative. How about you explain how you can convert that GIF into RAW by adding colour and pixels?

A difference without a distinction in this post.

Nonsense. I'm noting that this sort of behaviour is not limited to woo-woos. It was an attempt to make you realise how silly your argument is, not an insult.

#cnnblackmail, m'kay??

/man reading that "apology" it sounds like Reek apologizing to Ramsey Bolton.

Impressive. You managed to quote a person, while ignoring what they said, all because it was pointed out you are wrong. Illusory Superiority at it's finest.

Why is this discussion still ongoing? It's been shown that the gif we first saw isn't the original one, and that it's clear that the video was created using the original gif.

Yes - I was asking you for evidence there was more information in the video other than your assertion.

The longer comes from looping and/or adding the missing scene. And sound. But that doesn't mean I think information was created from nothing, poof.

Because CNN lied when they tried to link Trump and some internet patsy, and then blackmailed the guy, obviously.

I did nothing of the sort. My post was actually related to what you posted. Do you think your false superiority and condescending attidute will win converts to the alt-right?

This is incorrect. Since it has been pointed out to you previously, this is now a lie on your part.

, and then blackmailed the guy, obviously.

CNN may have. They may have not. I don't know the inner workings of CNN, or why they posted what they did. HanAssholeSolo posted an apology, and deleted his posts. What CNN did was shady, and frankly idiotic, but doesn't seem to stoop to the level of blackmail. This is being skeptical. Perhaps you should try it for once.

Oh dear, did I miss the part where you addressed "CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change."

Golly gee it looked to me like you "ignored" that and posted your tried and true "illusory superiority" line (and are now accusing me of false superiority and trying to convert people to the alt-right? Wow, I hear that KFILE! is hiring and could use people who are willing to post nonsense like that).

type illusory superiority again.

:D

They're hiring? You'd fit right in! You love to post lies and fake news! If I were you, I'd focus less on the illusory superiority. You aren't better than the rest of us.

I don't think withholding information as long as someone continues to adhere to their stated actions that they themselves came up with on their own rises to the level of the definition of bkackmail. Usually it's to make you do something you don't want to do.

There's more stuff in it, Elvis. It's larger and longer, has more content and colour and pixels and there's sound in it. Stop pretending that those things don't exist.

The longer comes from looping and/or adding the missing scene. And sound.

Okay...

The looping was in the GIF, not the video. So you have it the other way around. The content I was refering to must come from another video or GIF, which instead indicates that the video was made NOT from this one GIF, but from another. Ostensibly we've now found the GIF in question (Q), so it seems to support what I said: the smaller GIF was NOT the source of the video, the other, larger GIF was.

But that doesn't mean I think information was created from nothing, poof.

That's the point of my analogy: you need the original RAW one way or another. Ergo the GIF isn't used to create the RAW at all. Same thing here: the smaller GIF was entirely inadequate to produce the video. The larger GIF, however, seems adequate. That was my entire argument, so I feel like my point has been made and vindicated.

lolz, CNN was not right, because Trump did not get the video from the doxxee, as we have already established, therefore KFILE's reserving rights to out the doxxee based on his other bad posts is as reprehensible as it ever was

If Trump didn't get it from He-Who-Was-Not-Actually-Doxxed, then where did he get it?

I'd bet my house it was from someone even worse.

How about the different resolutions, and the pixellated appearance of the GIF? Is that really the original?

I'm not an expert on video editing but as far as I know .mp4 is just a container format, which means you can create one with a high resolution and frame rate and put content into it with lower resolution and frame rate, which then gets "stretched". If you play the Trump video at full resolution it looks quite pixelated.

I think we can be pretty sure now that the video was derived from the GIF.

I can't take credit for finding that the claim that Trump tweeted (or even "retweetet") that guy's content is false, btw. I read it elsewhere and only before I chimed in here I searched for the GIF, and reasonably but falsely concluded that the repost on reddit was it, because it did fit all criteria they were talking about (too short, no sound, lower resolution etc). Just like the real original.
