Merged All things Trump + Russia

Like a blowjob.

But a Republican can lie to Congres about secret meetings with Russians.

No double standard.

Its fascinating how your side talks about Predator Clinton like he's single. That might be a clue for you?

I think the ultimate lesson will be on what the country is based on, which is the antithesis of inherited status. Trump's status is founded on his inherited wealth. His father made the fortune as a man of respect ....

Really?
I presumed he was a racist landlord, and fully in bed with NYC's construction related organized crime.

Or did Donnie make his Mob connections hanging out at Studio 54? :p

I don't care if he's married or not. And considering the number of Republicans who also fooled around their wives Republicans don't care that much either.

President Trump. Fooled around on at least 2 of his wives and admitted attempting to fool around on his present wife.
Newt Gingrich while he was pushing for Clinton’s impeachment, he was engaged in an affair with a Congressional aide.
Rep. Bob Livingston (R-LA) also while pushing for Clinton's impeachment was engaged in an extramarital affair.
Governor Mark Sanford was having an affair with a woman in Argentina
US Senator John Ensign was having an affair with a married staffer.

These are just a few. And I wouldn't care if they were anymore than if my boss was if it wasnt for the hipocrisy. Their sex lives is not my business.

But... sex is dirty, so you should only do it with your wife.

I was following the discussion. The EC post I replied to (#1829) concerned itself exclusively with DJT... Putin's name did not appear and was not indirectly referenced, and my reply followed suit.

Is there something that you were unsatisfied with about the fact that I included Putin originally because of the discussion that led up to that exchange? You asked, I answered. At no point did I specifically claim that you said that Emily's Cat supported Putin, but such did happen right before your response in the discussion.

You're right, that was hyperbole. Set against Trump's non-stop, nuclear warhead caliber hypocrisy, it was run of the mill.

I didn't call it hyperbole. I said that it could be hypocrisy, depending on other factors that weren't particularly in evidence.

As a side note, comparing just about anyone's hypocrisy to Trump's is going to be a rather one-sided thing. Should we just call him the avatar of a god of hypocrisy and he's made it his religious duty to increase the prevalence of hypocrisy in the world? He's certainly done a fine job at showing off the Republican Party's hypocrisy, after all, on top of his own, and tries to make more people believe in the Democrats' hypocrisy, regardless of whether there's even a shred of truth to his claims or not.

Your original assumption was correct, but the highlighted accusation isn't.

I'm not convinced. A bad argument was put forth and was called out for being such. Harassment for not just supporting the bad argument followed and that was responded to. That went back and forth a bit. You entered the discussion by claiming hypocrisy on notably shaky and entirely tangential grounds that had nothing to do with the preceding discussion. That would seem to perfectly fit the description "just jumping in and throwing out something unrelated."

The Russians are lying to make Trump look bad. They're like that, the Russians, they trick you.

As someone from the White House also said, "That's the problem with the Russians -- they lie."

I agree. It would be amazing if Trump attempted to prevent Comey from testifying. Wouldn't work and would be further proof that Trump is trying to cover something up.
Have to remember where Trump is coming from. He is used to having his employees sign draconian NDAs and using lawyers to shut up ex-employees. It will be very hard for anyone to make him understand that he can't treat an ex-government employee in that way.

Or any American citizen.

Here's the transcript of yesterday's plenary meeting at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, moderated by Megyn Kelly. She gets to ask Putin about all the conventional wisdom you folks have internalized.

The most hilarious post I've seen all week. You should only do it with your wife because the alternative is cheating, adultery, Being a leftist.

Thanks for that though, really!

You're welcome. Looks like you might not have heard it before, though, with that response about why it's wrong. It's actually an old joke, either way, playing on how Christians have historically treated and talked about sex. I first heard it long ago in church, incidentally, when the Sunday school teacher was talking about Christian values related to sex.

Yes, I know. I already established that. Most leftists have your opinion!

You don't give a crap either. That's the point. You're always willing to look the other way if he's on your team.

Also, Libertarians don't care either. And no one says they are leftists.

The only difference is those republicans were roundly criticised by their own party. Clinton is still celebrated by his acts, you're just the latest to do it. ;)

That's not true. I think any man that cheats on his wife is wrong. I just don't see it as a political issue.

And, it isn't celebrated like it is with your side. ;)

Who has been celebrating it? I don't recall seeing anyone actually proclaiming adultery to be a "good" thing on the left, much less celebrating it. I, personally, don't look at it kindly, either, and have pointedly made clear that I refuse to engage in it on a number of occasions. When it comes to Clinton, certainly, I don't recall ever reading praise for him doing such. On the other hand, his private life has generally been considered to be of very little concern when it came to considering how competent he was at actually doing his job. Trump's much worse adultery doesn't concern me much, for similar reasons. Also going by similar criteria, his general incompetence does matter to me. It's just that "my side" doesn't indulge in the loud, fake, and nigh meaningless outrage at it that the right does and acknowledges that, while it's bad, it's not one of the actually important things when it comes to how well they do the job.

Amen.

Yes we know your side doesn't indulge in the outrage, your side never seems to mention poor Hillary when praising Clinton. Hillary is the most chested on woman in America, but hey it didn't affect his job.
