Merged All things Trump + Russia

Did you ever stop and think how utterly impossible it would be for Trump to do Putins bidding here? The left has simply gone off the deep end!

It isn't impossible. It would just be a really bad idea as it would further proof that he's Putin's bitch.

Also he is doing Putin's bidding simply by being himself. Putin loves the fact that the president of the United States is an extremely ignorant idiot.

If not for the all the hubbub about Trump and Co.'s collussion with Russia and other crimes, Trump would have surely scaled back sanctions against Russia and would be attacking Syria's non-ISIS enemies.

Other crimes? More fake news or just daydreaming?
He likely would have also recognized Russia's annexation of Crimea.

Sure, right under everyone's nose! Geez your side will believe anything!

On the heels of Admiral Rogers' statements to the NSA rank and file that the agency has "damning" SIGINT on Trump and associates, the NSA chief has ordered an all-out effort by the agency to not only find, but keep safe evidence of his collusion with Russia.

(posted about an hour ago)

Is that a quote? Because I read the article and it doesn't have any. I assume, because it's filed under Opinion, it's not really robust enough to be reported as real news.

Maybe this was a planned fake-out? ;)

Obama Is Considering Removing N.S.A. Leader
Representative Devin Nunes of California, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and a member of Mr. Trump’s transition team, strongly defended Admiral Rogers.

If Obama doesn't want the guy, Trump surely will. :p

In the meantime, the Observer article makes sense in light of this MSN story from last week: Trump asked NSA director to publicly push back against FBI's Russia investigation
According to the source, Rogers rebuffed the president's request, deeming it inappropriate. The encounter between Rogers and Trump was documented in a contemporaneous memo....

The Washington Post was the first to report that Trump made the appeal to Rogers in March. The Post also reported that Trump made the same request to Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats.

Asked about the report when he appeared today before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Coats declined to comment.

Daily Mail and Raw Story are going with the OP story: Did Admiral Mike Rogers tell the NSA that Trump colluded with the Russians?
Schindler is regarded by some people as a conspiracy theorist along the lines of former Heat Street editor Louise Mensch, with whom Schindler enjoys an amiable online relationship. The two publish scoops reinforcing each other and share a common enemy in those who declare that anti-Trumpists are dabbling in red-baiting and conspiracy mongering.

However, as a former agent, Schindler has deep ties at the NSA.

Both are going off The Observer story. I'd say this story needs additional confirmation.

That's really what it's about to your side, that he got relationships started before he was elected or inaugurated?

Nope, it's more about what sort of "relationships" he was seeking that required a Russian-secured line, and why the purpose of numerous TrumpCo contacts with Russians was so secretive that they took considerable risk to try to hide them, and why they so desperately want to stop any attempt to connect all the dots while trying to pass it off as something that all presidents do. It isn't working; out here in the real world, they have lost control of the narrative.

Still zero evidence of collusion, which means nothing anyway! ;)
As far as you know. I'm amazed when people think they know everything investigators are finding in an investigation.

That said, collusion has been somewhat eclipsed by the consistent pattern of lying when asked about Russia. So many people could have said, "Yes, I spoke with the Russian ambassador" but instead they evaded or outright lied, depending on the person.

"Your side." That says so much.

Holy cow, logger is citing fake news stories, according to his own (hairbrained) standard. Who would've thought?

Hare-brained.

Did you ever stop and think how utterly impossible it would be for Trump to do Putins bidding here?
I'm really curious why you believe this. What exactly do you think would get in the way? Mind you, I don't believe Trump simply does Putin's bidding, unless it suits Trump as well. But it's trivially easy to manipulate someone long-distance.

Several posts have been sent to AAH.

Please keep to the topic of the thread, which is not Hillary Clinton, nor is it each other.

Your cooperation is appreciated.

Right!

Lol, Phiwum doesn't seem to like examples. Its interesting reading but we sure aren't going to impeach or remove a president from office with unnamed sources. ;)

Surely, I agree that we don't remove presidents from office according to reports from unnamed sources.

But I'm a bit confused about your notion of "fake news" now. Is news "fake" if it isn't sufficient to remove a president from office?

Do you accept information from articles which are "fake news"?

Trump hacked Republicans?

Let's remember that Trump invited our adversary. Russia, to interfere in our election process.

Donald Trump Calls on Russia to Find Hillary Clinton’s Missing Emails

DORAL, Fla. — Donald J. Trump said on Wednesday that he hoped Russian intelligence services had successfully hacked Hillary Clinton’s email, and encouraged them to publish whatever they may have stolen, essentially urging a foreign adversary to conduct cyberespionage against a former secretary of state.

Trump has proven to be bad for America.

The Russians must love Trump.

Trump Declines to Affirm NATO's Article 5

Speaking in front of the leaders of its member-nations, the president fails to make clear the United States still has the alliance’s back.

Thanks to Trump, Germany says it can’t rely on the United States

Merkel’s comment about what she has experienced in the past few days is a clear reference to President Trump’s disastrous European tour. Her belief that the United States is no longer a reliable partner is a direct result of Trump’s words and actions. The keystone of NATO is Article 5, which has typically been read as a commitment that in the event that one member of the alliance is attacked, all other members will come to its aid.

A Russian newspaper editor explains how Putin made Trump his puppet

“They consider him a stupid, unstrategic politician.” https://www.vox.com/conversations/2...ld-trump-putin-russia-kremlin-hillary-clinton

There is no question that Trump is an unfit and stupid president because he continues to prove it on a regular basis.

Other crimes? More fake news or just daydreaming?

Flynn committed a crime by accepting payment from Russia while retired.

Carter Page handed documents to and communicated with Russian agents.

Paul Manafort acted as an agent of Pro-Russian Ukrainians.

Trump then tells the Russians that his firing of Comey reduced the pressure on him from the Russia investigation.

Doesn't take a genius to see that something is up.

Ah, very clear. If an article, oh, let's say this one is significantly based on claims from unnamed sources, then we should deem it "fake news". That's the rule, right?

Agh. I knew that looked wrong. Thanks.

I dunno, "hairbrained" works pretty darn well for Trump!

Because liberals.

Whatever the question, the answer is always liberals!

Not so! Often it's "leftists" or "socialists". Not that they have any different meaning to some folks.
