JFK Conspiracy Theories IV: The One With The Whales

No, it isn't me insisting on the serial number being unique. Who do you think does say that?

What evidence do we have for the existence of a 40" MC with serial number C2766?
The 40.2" rifle found at the TSBD had C2766 stamped on the barrel (base)

Excuse me, but the President of Crescent Firearms does not swear to any length of barrel just the serial number. You may try to dress this pig up and put on lipstick, but it is just a pig. You still don't get it.
But the FBI said that the C2766 came from the shipment that arrived in February.

By the way, since you are so quick to put down my statements... when did Klein's place their purchase order for 40.2" rifles?

Thank you for that admission. Is it possible to stretch the barrel of a 36" MC to make it into a 40" MC so the serial number on the barrel stays the same?
Absolutely not, aspect ratios and just the process of gun barreling disallows this.

What were the autopsy conclusions? Not yours. Theirs.

One autopsy conclusion was that there was a small wound devoid of scalp and skull approximately 2.5 centimeters to the right and slightly above the external occipital protuberance. If you can think of a way this wound could have any relation to the large head wound, be my guest.

So the 40" MC with serial #C2766 always was the one that Oswald bought even though he was expecting to receive a 36" one. We can agree that the evidence we have for it is the existence of the rifle itself.

Well, as "slightly" is a subjective term, this is easily resolved. The wound is where it is visible in the photos and x-rays, despite your denials. That way it is clearly and obviously the cause of the exit wound.

What is in evidence is what was found on the 6th floor... a 40.2" rifle that has C2766 imprinted on the barrel.

1. sworn affidavit from the President of the importing company that sold it to Klein's. 2. Crescent has in their files, that a rifle with the serial number c2766 was shipped against Klein's PO 1243 dated January 15, 1962.

Yes, the 40" with unique serial #C2766.

1. The face sheet, autopsy doctors, and autopsy witnesses confirm that "slightly above" means slightly above, not 4 inches above. Common sense would tell us that if they bothered to measure 2.5 centimeters, "slightly above" probably means less than 1 centimeter above.

2. The depressed cowlick fracture is not 2.5 centimeters to the right. It is slightly to the right.

Yes, the 40" with unique serial #C2766.
Unique infers one of a kind; the purchase order calls out only for 36" rifles; Crescent shows that a 36" rifle with the serial number C2766 was shipped on June 18, 1962.

What evidence is there that shows Crescent shipped a 40.2" rifle with the serial number C2766?

I will just put it out there:

The President of Crescent Firearms provided a sworn affidavit for the Warren Commission, in short, he says that Crescent Firearms provided to Klein's a rifle with the serial number C2766... on June 18, 1962. This makes the claim of the 40.2" ever having the C2766 go into question. Since this event took place prior to LHO/Hidell placing the order with Klein's and prior to Klein's buying the 40.2" MC, the C2766 belongs to the 36" rifle. The barrel does make a difference if you wish to insist the serial number is unique.

No, it doesn't. It simply means that Klein's had a stock of 36" rifles which they ran down first before substituting the 40" version.

Everyone does this in every retail endeavour.

Yes, unique means one of a kind. Since we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that MC serial #C2766 is Oswald's 40" one then there isn't a 36" MC with serial #C2766. Why do you think that is so?

What evidence have you that either Klein or Crescent measured all the weapons in their inventory/shipping manifests? You can't prove that any length rifle was shipped to Klein or to LHO for that matter. You have lost this discussion point the rifle SN C2766 was shipped to LHO(A. Hidell). This is the same weapon found on the 6th floor of the TSBD. Give it up and move on to a new subject.

1. There is paperwork that shows Crescent shipped and delivered to Klein's a 36" rifle with the serial number C2766 June 18, 1962.
2. Klein's shows shipping a C20-T750 (the advertised item number from the coupon that Hidell ordered) to Hidell in March '62.
3. Klein's did not advertise the 40.2" MC until April '63. There was no advertisement from Oct '62 through March '63
4. A 40.2" rifle with C2766 was found on the 6th floor of the TSBD.
5. There is no record of a 40.2" rifle being shipped by either Crescent or Klein's with a serial number C2766.

Except we see the C2766 on the 40.2" rifle.
No C2766 on your imaginary 36" weapon.

Explain all that in terms of a unique serial number.

Hank

Show that paperwork, please.

2. Klein's shows shipping a C20-T750 (the advertised item number from the coupon that Hidell ordered) to Hidell in March '62.
You've already been corrected on the item number. It's the same for both rifles.

3. Klein's did not advertise the 40.2" MC until April '63. There was no advertisement from Oct '62 through March '63
And yet they had them to ship.

4. A 40.2" rifle with C2766 was found on the 6th floor of the TSBD.
Case closed then. Do you believe there is a 36" MC with the same serial number as the 40" one we know actually exists and that Oswald owned them both?

5. There is no record of a 40.2" rifle being shipped by either Crescent or Klein's with a serial number C2766.
What evidence do we have of the existence of a 40" MC with serial #C2766? How many rifles are given the same unique serial #?

I haven't lost anything, I agree that the C2766 was shipped to LHO, it was a 36" rifle and that is the proof I have shown.

This is your inference, I have shown records that disprove your position.
