How long till Spicer gets the boot?

Twitter's also going nuts about the rumor that Katy Perry will be a judge on "American Idol". And did you hear about that squirrel that stole a taco and ate it, halfway up a tree?

Don't count your chickens until they're lying in the back of a police car, covered in bruises from being beaten by rubber hoses.

I'm not. I'm just reporting what is being said there. By the same people that were talking about something significant happening at least a day before the SCG raid.

But yeah, I'm not getting too hyped just yet. Even if legit when they said it, lots can go wrong in 72 hours.

So that'd leave folks like Miller and Bannon. The white nationalists.

Have at it, then.

Ivanka and Jared (plus a couple of other people who have worked for him for a long time) the only people really on the inner circle according to reports. Bannon has been on the outs for a while.

That doesn't sound like a good thing for democracy. The country is under the control of a man, his daughter and his son-in-law with no-one else inside the inner circle.

That's placing an awful lot of power in the hands of a single family and the GOP's seeming unwillingness (or perhaps inability) to help ameliorate the situation is worrying IMO.

Obama changed the country? You mean by providing health care for the poor? What an awful beast.

And, it shows at the townhouse meetings as well.

And, in the polls.

It isn't ideal but better Ivanka and Jared be in Trump's ear than extremist nutjobs like Bannon.

Agreed. The hate for Trump is fascinating.

I can only wonder why! Since Trump became president, there has been nothing but turmoil, lies, deceit, disinformation, misinformation, firings, etc., spewing from the White House, not to mention demonstrations in the streets, the millions of dollars taxpayers paid for Trump's golfing tours in Florida, which also interrupted aviation businesses that resulted in financial losses and the disruption of air traffic in the area.

And, he has discredited the United States of America

.

I honestly don't know.

A "bunker mentality" with three members of the same family in control of the country doesn't sound good to me, especially when all three are tied to very dubious business practices, have no experience of government or indeed public service of any kind. For sure President Trump appears not to have a coherent set of extremist right wing policies but TBH I have no idea what he or his family stand for apart from making themselves richer.

If Trump was solely surrounded by extremist nutjobs then perhaps that would be worse, but then again maybe the GOP would be less disinclined to get involved.

I suppose the most surprising thing is that once again Trump has managed to normalise behaviour which would have been unacceptable in anyone else and indeed is getting credit for doing it because he's not doing something even worse

No, on the outs. At least according to leaks. Largely because he was fighting with Jared. Supposedly he found out that Trump fired Comey the same way Comey did (the news).

Hmmm...I may be a bit out of date regarding him. Last I heard he was formally off the Council, but still a 'trusted advisor'.

I am really beginning to suspect that the vaunted "progress" of the last 60 years or so was an illusion, and Trump is the dropping of the mask.

It is looking like Sean Spicer and several of the other Trump lackeys will be replaced in the near future. The other day, 'Saturday Night Live' had a cute skit about this very thing.

Trump Considers West Wing Shake-Up of Key Staff Members

Donald Trump is reportedly considering a team reshuffle that could result in a number of key players facing the axe.

According to White House sources, the president may have a “huge reboot” of his team that could affect everyone from Press Secretary Sean Spicer, Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, even Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.

"He's frustrated, and angry at everyone," an anonymous source told Axios' Mike Allen, which reported on the potential reshuffle on Sunday. "The advice he's getting is to go big—that he has nothing to lose. The question now is how big and how bold. I'm not sure he knows the answer to that yet."

...

It is not clear whether Trump will enact sweeping changes immediately or if he is simply attempting to motivate members of his staff with the threat of dismissal–in either case, changes in the West Wing are expected to come one way or another.

Could it be that the left hates Trump because he fights back using the same tactics the left does?

People hated Obama because he changed the country as we knew it?

Nope. Trump uses tactics all his own. Transparent techniques but all his own.

Obama changed the country? How? Who is 'we'?

You can never tell with Trump. He has a reputation for causing members of his staff to believe that they are on thin ice but never firing them. Former employees have said he enjoys and seems to do it for sport. Basically trolling his own staff.

Trump actually doesn't like firing members of his staff. Not because he gives a crap about anybody or anything. More that he views firing someone that he hired as an admission that he made a mistake.

Another article about how it is to shill for Trump. This one is about what Conway truly feels about Trump (if you believe the article). I suspect that the difficulty of feeling this way inside contributed to her poor performance as a public Trump shill, leading to her subsequently being hidden in a closet in the White House.

Maybe Spicer, rather than being fired, will be hidden in the tall grass around the White House? At least Spicer and Conway are paid to provide ridiculous and absurd arguments in support of Trump. I am not certain why other people do it for free.
