The Trump Presidency

Unfortunately, that means Pence who I think is a bigger danger.

That is very unfortunate. That reminded me of the Watergate scandal when I thought that Vice President Spiro Agnew would be the only person who would escape the turmoil in Washington D.C. at that time, but Vice President Agnew resigned even before Nixon resigned.

What a mess that was and now, we find ourselves in yet another fine mess that has global ramifications because of a US President who is unfit to run America.

When trump won the election people acted as though prima noctis was going to be implemented across the us and black people would be shoved into crematoria. So far neither has happened.

No they didn't. They acted as if the new President was an idiot who didn't understand the office he was elected to and how things work. They acted as if he would appoint people to positions of power intent on destroying the US government. They acted as if the president was going to continue being a pathological liar. So far, they've been right.

Here's another fun little moment from our dear leader:

A photographer for a Russian state-owned news agency was allowed into the Oval Office on Wednesday during President Trump’s meeting with Russian diplomats, a level of access that was criticized by former U.S. intelligence officials as a potential security breach.

The officials cited the danger that a listening device or other surveillance equipment could have been brought into the Oval Office while hidden in cameras or other electronics. Former U.S. intelligence officials raised questions after photos of Trump’s meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov were posted online by the Tass news agency.

I guess the Russians will get to hear Trump ordering cokes and yelling at the tv.

It is funny how far you guys have to lower the bar to make it seem like your guy is doing ok.

This is an actual statement from an actual Congressman:

America has overcome amazing challenges that Donald Trump, as frightening as he is to some people, small potatoes compared to Nazi Germany,” Garrett told constituents while visiting EastLake Community Church in southwest Virginia, according to Politico.

The crowd jeered at the comparison, the news outlet reported, leading Garrett to ask, “So he's worse?”

TRUMP!!! Better than Nazi Germany, hasn't raped your wife...yet!!!

Sounds like a re-election slogan. "Trump, at least he didn't go for the Final Solution."

Trump is trying to divert from the Comey debacle by saying he might release his tax returns after presidency. I'm not sure trying to change the subject is going to work this time.

Do you really think I'm a fan of the glorified cheeto? Because when he was first elected, the general reaction was "ZOMG trump is hitler!"

A bit of light relief

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligence...onomics-to-the-economist-hilarity-ensues.html

Second, Trump did not invent the phrase “prime the pump.” It has been around since at least the 1930s and is extremely familiar to economists. Nor does it describe his plan. Priming the pump refers to a program of temporary fiscal stimulus to inject demand into an economy stuck with high unemployment. Trump is instead proposing to permanently increase the deficit in an economy with low unemployment. Telling The Economist you invented the phrase “priming the pump,” to describe a plan that does not prime the pump, is a bit like sitting down with Car and Driver, pointing to the steering wheel on your car and asking if they have ever heard of a little word you just came up with called “hubcap.”

Between the pressure, stress and Trump's weight and bad diet I wonder if he'll make it through the end of the year without suffering a heart attack or stroke.

Well, that clearly seems to be your perception, and I'm sure you can find a person or two who thought that way, but comparing Trump to Hitler vastly overestimates Trump's abilities.

He's more like the narcissistic leader of a military junta in Africa or Latin America.

Woody Allen in Bananas comes to mind.

I'd say he's more like Silvio Berlusconi.

Donnie's approval ratings took a hit with the latest adventure. Only 38% of people polled on May 10th say they approve of the way he is handling the job of president vs. 55% who disapprove. Gallup Poll

From Donnie's hometown New York Magazine:
Over the last week, Quinnipiac University asked Americans for the first word that comes to mind when they think of President Trump. The answer given more times than any other was “idiot,” followed by “incompetent” and “liar.” Link

Here's some more nuggets from Quinnipiac University polling of Americans' attitudes toward the prez:
  • 61 - 33 percent that he is not honest, compared to 58 - 37 percent April 19;
  • 66 - 29 percent that he is not level-headed, compared to 63 - 33 percent last month;
  • 64 - 32 percent that he does not share their values, compared to 61 - 35 percent.
Link

And the biggest surprise of all, at least to me,
  • 59 - 38 percent that he does not care about average Americans, compared to 57 - 42 percent April 19

You could call it:
America finally gets it. ;)

Trump is such an embarrassment to the United States that I wonder why it them so long to figure it out!

White House Official Says Administration Was ‘Tricked’ by Russian News Agency

An “angry” White House official told CNN’s Jim Acosta that the Trump administration was “tricked” into allowing a Russian photographer to publish images from Wednesday’s meeting between President Donald Trump and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

“That’s the problem with the Russians — they lie,” the unnamed White House official told Acosta.

American press members were shut out of the meeting from which the only images released were by Russia’s news agency, TASS. And, according to CNN’s source, the White House was blindsided, and didn’t anticipate the photos would go public.

Time to dump dumb Trump.

The Quinnipiac poll gives Democrats a +16 advantage in generic House balloting. Terrible news for Republicans if that is accurate and holds till the midterms.
