Brilliant Light Power Going To Market - Free Energy Generator

They are still working out the prototype stage. Even at the current low power density stage, the UV and soft x-rays are partly converted to visible light and infrared by the silver vapour inside the dome.

Did you miss this article where Mills was claiming to have 20 generators and were almost ready for mass production?

http://money.cnn.com/2008/07/01/smallbusiness/blacklight.fsb/

You're literally claiming they're further back now than Mills was claiming in 2008. Do Hydrinos cause research to Benjamin Button or something like that?

Orly? What has Mills produced? By your own claim, you have been a follower since 1999. What exactly has been produced?

There seems a dearth of anything productive at all. Care to disagree?

Mills has developed prototypes in the past and present which have been validated to work by outside scientists. But have they worked well enough to be successful on the market, to compete with combustion? Not yet.

That was a case where they at last had very good power density, but it didn't have the duration to ultimately be successful. As I recall, the reaction ultimately quenched and the recycling of the powder was problematic.

The exact same things are true of a house fire. Excellent power density, but capturing the energy, sustaining the reaction, and economically recycling the remains are all problematic.

I see no evidence that such an assertion is true.

I'm saying that, in the past, I have changed my mind on significant areas of belief. And you say you see no evidence of that. I henceforth will think of you as HC the Contrarian.

Wow a flurry of posting by markie to make some space away from that damning 2009 CNN report.

"This is no longer an academic argument," Mills, 50, insists. "It's proven technology, and we're going to commercialize it as quickly as possible."

Oh my he certainly didn't say that did he?

Repeating a lie does not make it true, markie. There has been no verification or validation of the existence of hydrinos by any scientists :eye-poppi.
There have been several consultants paid to look at BLP experiments run at BPL by BLP. There have been a couple of runs of BLP apparatus at outside labs.

If by consultants you mean scientists from universities, yes. And yes, they have verified and validated the existence of hydrinos.

I'm a contrarian because I point out you're making a claim for which you've provided no evidence? You'd think after 12+ years of defending serial failure Mills you'd be used to people calling you out for that one.

Besides, your recent posts essentially claim Mills was lying in this article:

http://money.cnn.com/2008/07/01/smallbusiness/blacklight.fsb/

...But have they worked well enough to be successful on the market, to compete with combustion? Not yet.

I am sure that the cost of the materials consumed by any of these hydrino prototypes far exceeds the value of the energy produced, making it difficult to "compete with combustion". (Burning dollar bills would be a more economical energy source.)

So BLP is solely working on the dome and its contents, and figuring out how to design devices that turn the output of the dome into something useful is being contracted out?

So the issue of closing the dome is not a technical difficulty that has to be overcome to actually produce functioning devices?

Also, why is the dome being made of graphite? From what I understand graphite is rather brittle, making hard to shape into a dome, and also making it unsuitable for containing high pressures.

Graphite serves as a great blackbody emitter. It can glow white hot and maintain its integrity. If I recall correctly it has favourable thermal expansion profile. It is also porous enough to allow hydrogen to pass through. While it is thick enough to contain fairly high pressure, it won't have to. The pressures inside and outside the dome will be equalized at about ten atmospheres.

With the SunCell, the hydrino reaction is both power dense and sustainable. Previous iterations failed in one or the other aspects.

I should qualify. The short burst reaction in the SunCell is already provably power dense. Long term reactions (of hours) in the SunCell have already been performed, but at necessarily low power. When the dome is closed both the power density and the sustained reaction will - presumably - be attained. That will be the moment of truth. If that fails (without reasonable excuse), I will probably be disappointed enough to reassess my belief.
Indeed. BrLP sneaked in power density as opposed to energy density, and you bought it.

Is BLP doing all of the design work for the full devices (the steam engine device and the photovoltaic device), and only contracting out the manufacturing of the devices? Or is BLP also contracting out part of the design work, so other companies are figuring out the design for integrating the dome into the steam engine or photovoltaic cells?

I think that it is likely that that SunCell is designed for flashy self destruction followed by an announcement that the totally awesome amount of energy produced far exceeds their expectations and so requires yet another redesign.

In other words you are literally claiming they're just now developing the technology that Mills claimed was READY FOR MARKET AND WORKING in this July, 2008 article.

Who is lying, you, Mills or both?

Power density and energy density are very different things. Ordinary matter has a very high energy density doesn't it. Witness e = mc^2. But unless it can be harvested what's the point. Nuclear has great energy density but it's power density is low unless it's an atomic bomb. Fire has OK energy density and very good power density. Hydrino doesn't have the energy density of nuclear but it beats fire in energy density, and now, with the SunCell, it beats fire in power density too.

Nobody. As I've said before, Mills optimism gets the better of him. The prototypes were working. That does not mean they were ready for prime time. Mills thought they would be, but was mistaken. The power density could not be maintained with that solid fuel cell.

Correct. It is trivially easy to bugger with the numbers. One might as well claim to be measuring consciousness in furlongs per fortnight. It's meaningless.

Mills has foisted this, now you must make excuses. Go right ahead.

So you're calling Mills a liar and spinning his lies as enthusiasm. Got it.

What prototypes were working?
