Now that they have automation that allows them to run the cell in a closed system, a prototype generator is VeryCloseIndeed®.
Fixed that for you.

2010 Seven companies are licensed to produce energy using the Blacklight Power process.

2010 This whole deal is ready to go. Reactors are operating and have been ordered. All the critics have been put in their place.

Even competitors are having success with hydrinos in 2010.
Note also that in this piece from 2010, the possibility of harm from hydrinos is mentioned.
Now we go to 2012, and what do we have?
http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-793467
The hydrino reactor is stalled and we have working CIHT cells. The reactor needed a "bipolar plate" which hadn't been invented yet. Which seems odd given the 2010 report.
In 2014 we now have the new SF-CIHT cell that has been validated and replicated and maybe the state and federal governments are going to adopt it.

Again, thanks for the response markie.
So Mills did not publish his derivation in a relevant, peer-reviewed journal.
Reading between the lines, you did not do any checking yourself, independently.
And you did not answer my last set of questions.
Curiously, your response is similar to BH's, in the 2009 PhysicsForums thread, i.e. a non-answer.
While Dr. Mills optimism has got the better of him with each fresh new iteration of hydrino generation method over the years, he is about to be rewarded for his perseverance, big time.
Thank you very much!
I was in error. It was the lack of a heat exchanger and not the lack of a housing that scuttled Mills in the 1990's.
They had steam engines powering cars in the early 1900's.
It makes sense in a way that Mills is over 100 years behind the times on automotive technology. His "theory" pretends about 100 years of quantum theory, science and observation never happened.
PMSL
But he's managed to keep doing it, he's now in college (lol as if) and his 1st year teacher is STILL waiting for that homework...
markie did he ever hand in that 1st year homework?
Based on the awards Mills received as a student, oh yes he has done his homework all right.
Willig Pentathlon Prize in Chemistry
Michael A. Lewis Memorial Prize in Physics
Isaac E. Roberts Biology Award
Rawnsley Science Award
Morgan D. Person Prize in Chemistry
Fredrick C. Schiffman Award in Chemistry
Theodore Alexander Saulnier Award in Chemistry
Anyone have the time to fact check those award claims? We are talking about a guy who claims to have attended MIT despite the university having no record of him ever having been there.
Some of these appear to be real awards. Several appear to be internal honors awarded to successful undergraduates at Franklin and Marshall College. But I can't find several of these awards on the Internet, or if Mills was actually awarded any of them.
Mills is quite a genius actually. He'll keep the con going until he no longer has a need for money, he'll be either retired or dead.Michaelsuede, markie, just how many years will you accept excuses from Dr. Real Soon Now for his failure to start making and selling an actual product in the real world, before you admit that the whole thing is wrong?
Never mind the unphysicality of it, such as the absolute and obvious nonsense in claiming they're producing "dark matter" (and supposedly verifying this with spectroscopy). I'm talking about just plain fulfilling their promises. Will you ever hold them to account for never doing what they keep saying they're going to do?
A year? Two? Five? Twenty? Never?

WH, 3 months ago
In one of those strange coincidences, one of Mills’ biggest supporters is… Emiritus Professor of Chemistry John Farrell of Franklin and Marshall College.
Whatever else is going on, Randell Mills is an exceptionally smart chap:
He attended Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, B.A. in 1982. He was a member of the Black Pyramid Honor Society and the Phi Beta Kappa National Honour Society where he was the only Junior invited to join in that year. He received the Willig Pentathlon Prize in Chemistry, one of the oldest and most prestigious awards in chemistry first established in 1912 which is awarded to the senior major who scores the highest on an exam covering the General, Analytical, Organic, Inorganic, and Physical areas of Chemistry. The name of each recipient is placed on a plaque and the student receives the income from the endowment established by Herman Luther Willig.
He also received the Michael A. Lewis Memorial Prize in Physics, the Isaac E. Roberts Biology Award, the Rawnsley Science Award, the Morgan D. Person Prize in Chemistry, the Fredrick C. Schiffman Award in Chemistry and the Theodore Alexander Saulnier Award in Chemistry.

Markie, you will deserve kudos if you stick around after this latest iteration fails to materialize. Previous proponents in the free energy threads have stopped posting rather than face the music.
A little investigoogling reveals that the same copypasta is shovelled in all over the place. They are listed same order in this press release copypasta CNN article:
http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-402579
Has it? No reference provided. The discovery still has critical skeptics, even after proving itself incontrovertibly in the toughest tests America's official national laboratories and top industrial and university science labs could devise.
Is there? Seems to me everyone is pretty much set against the whole malarkey, not just Robert Park.Obviously, there's a growing body of evidence that one man, for motive unknown, undertook to disparage Mills personally and professionally, and to deny the world any potential benefit from his discoveries.
The only one left, you say? I didn't know that, are you sure?...because in the very next paragraph...By 2008, however, http://money.cnn.com/2008/07/01/smallbusiness/blacklight.fsb/index.htm when Fortune magazine searched out skeptics to debunk Mills, Park was apparently the only one left
One of these things is not like the others.Mills' theory is rejected by almost all of the scientific community.
WTF? Where are these things? They are claimed to have been in operation for seven years. Seven frakkin' years in operation, yet here we have markie and michaelsuede telling us that Mills does not have a working device at all yet.Yes, exactly that - no ifs, ands, or buts. His BlackLight Process, already well-established in roughly 20 test-bed prototype 50- and 75-kilowatt reactors, promises power plants that will produce unlimited power but cost only as much as a gas-fired plant to build, about $1,500 a kilowatt, and then will have no further cost for fuel. None. Zero. Zip.
It's in the same order yet again.Dr. Mills has won the Willig Pentathlon Prize in Chemistry, Michael A. Lewis Memorial Prize in Physics, Isaac E. Roberts Biology Award, Rawnsley Science Award, Morgan D. Person Prize in Chemistry, Fredrick C. Schiffman Award in Chemistry and Theodore Alexander Saulnier Award in Chemistry.

However, the linked article is severely critical of Robert Park for some reason.
Since 1999 Robert L. Park, emeritus professor of physics at the University of Maryland and a notable skeptic, has been particularly critical of BLP. In 2008 Park wrote:
"BlackLight Power (BLP), founded 17 years ago as HydroCatalysis, announced last week that the company had successfully tested a prototype power system that would generate 50 KW of thermal power. BLP anticipates delivery of the new power system in 12 to 18 months. The BLP process,[33] discovered by Randy Mills, is said to coax hydrogen atoms into a "state below the ground state", called the "hydrino." There is no independent scientific confirmation of the hydrino, and BLP has a patent problem. So they have nothing to sell but bull ****. The company is therefore dependent on investors with deep pockets and shallow brains." – Park[34]
