Dear Leader Makes More Mischief Before US/China Summit

I think you just don't want to see the truth. insert pre-recorded blabbering...

All stuff you've said before, none of it addresses the question I asked.

What are your thoughts on how it worked out for North Koreans?

What? the North koreans got their tails kicked until China stepped in? Or...North Korea didn't end up "happily-ever-after" post war?

Anyways...what's it matter now?

I say, pull out the American Troops and let North and South Korea figure it out by themselves. The US had meddled enough.

Um, North Vietnam was backed by the Soviets, not so much by the Chinese.

However, the Chinese are not to be taken lightly. They are not a direct threat to the US, they are not going to attack the US mainland but they will defend what they consider their turf and that includes their brain-damaged little cousin, North Korea.

True, but theymight think that they would be better off with somebody other then Dear Leader or his followers as the head of North Korea.........

Isolationism. That worked out so great in the 1930's.....

The problem for China is getting rid of Dear Leader may be a simple task but the results of that removal could be disastrous.

The Dear Leader is basically a living god in that country. You ever see how people burst into tears (of joy? reverence?) at the sight of him and previously with his father and grandfather.

The country is one gigantic cult. You can't just remove their god-head and plop in someone new who's not the god-in-waiting without massive upheaval.

Pretty predictable move by North Korea, keep the pot stirring.
Problem is that it is an embarrassment for both China and the US, and NK might end up getting the US and China on the same page on NK..which would not be good for North Korea.

That might not be good for the current NK regime, but it would be good for the North Koreans. Virtually any other regime is an improvement for the North Koreans. The only risk is a change which puts the country into chaos.

You may have a point. In fact, in most cases I would agree 100%. But...seeing that the main form of governance in North Korea is centered about keeping the people starving and miserable, could a little Chaos be any worse?

I mean, Chaos is bad, but not necessarily purposivly bad - unlike North korea where being bad is a government policy.

A little chaos? Regime change in North Korea will be accompanied by more than just a little chaos.

I am not sure that Dear Leader is as beloved by the masses as you think. Of course the regime is going to project that image. That does not mean it's accurate.

For over 60 years North Korea has been worshipping the current Kim in charge. They've been indoctrinated from birth to believe he's their Savior. They've never heard a bad word about him. Everything bad that happens is America's fault or the fault of the latest to be executed. Their Great/Dear/Supreme Leader is the reason they have anything! Like any religion there are believers and non-believers but I would think the believers are a majority.

I doubt it. If Kim were such a worshipped God, then he wouldn't need top rule with so much force.

Given that there are still North Koreans, the starving could be worse. Chaos could jeopardize what little there is of food distribution. Do you want to really see the population of Pyongyang dying in the streets?

Palace coups can be quite orderly. I take your point about the veneration for the Kim family, though you may be overestimating it. But you can always concoct a good story. And didn't Fatty have a long-lost brother or cousin who emigrated?

Depends on how many people the regime plans on taking with them on the way out.

I am betting that Dear Leader is upset that Assad's gas attack in Syria took away all of his press.

Someones really need to prepare hundreds of thousands of small air dispersed pictures of dear leader having relations with a donkey - receiving not pitching!!!! And release them on a major wind heading into NK - very high up!!!

Could be done for the Trumpf also!!!

Invade with what? Their totally out-of-date military they can't even adequately feed?

If after 70 years of US help South Korea can't handle North Korea, then South Korea is a failed state.

You are forgetting two assets that make North Korea a dangerous state. A lack of morals/rules of engagement and chemical weapons aplenty that have been tested for use in humans. Those chemical weapons are designed to kill humans. The guinea pigs were the prisoners of the concentration camps and can be attached to missiles. North Korea has two satellites orbiting over the United States as well that possibly contain EMP weaponry that will put us into the stone age.

Fatty's brother left North Korea, but he was murdered by Kim.

Possibly the worst thing has happened -- the missile test after the parade and buildup has failed. Now he will figure he has to do something to save face.
