I already suspected that, given Trump's ego, Bannon would be demoted or forced to leave at some point because Trump would resent any implication that Bannon was his puppet master. In many ways I see a further decline in Bannon's political influence in the Trump administration as inevitable. If Bannon's ideas are a disaster then Trump and Bannon's rivals in the cabinet will try to get rid of him as incompetent. Conversely, the more successful any of Bannon's proposals may prove to be (whatever the chances of that!!!), the more Trump will resent it and the more he would want to kick Bannnon off the ship.

Please don't confuse news you don't like with biased news. Just because a news outfit reports something bad about Trump doesn't make it biased against Trump. With Trump it is nearly impossible to report about him without reporting something he lied about.

He desperately wants to be loved by them because of their prestige. There's a reason why the WaPo and NYT are always his first call and given better access than other outlets even though he continues to make a fool of himself in doing this. So much of what Trump does can be explained by his being from Queens and wanting to be accepted by Manhattan giving him a huge chip on his shoulder. He's always looking for gaudy ways to get the cool rich people, in his view, to like and accept him.

If you googled "Banning removed" yesterday, you would get tens, maybe even 100's of hits of an almost identical headline, but you'll find the majority of those outlets are merely re-writing the single original article, gleefully spinning it as "Trump*camp is disarray", when the truth of it is it was just business as usual, making America Great Again, one day at a time.
