Massive Wave of Hate Crimes against minorities follows Trump election.

I admit that that link, which showed an increase in hate crimes which began before Trump's inauguration did not support the claim of an increase in hate crimes after the inauguration. Of course, that does not make it fake, as you claimed.
This is disingenuous. Trump's inauguration? You referred to events that happened before Trump was even nominated, in an attempt to gaslight Wolrab bout the "massive wave" claim--a claim specifically about events happening immediately after the election. Your reference was misleading. I don't mind calling it "fake", but if it rustles your jimmies there are plenty of other words in the thesaurus that work just as well.

Speak plainly, what reasons do you have for dismissing the other two links which do show increases in hate crimes since the inauguration?
I haven't dismissed them, because I haven't yet examined them. But your disingenuity means I'm not giving you the benefit of the doubt for them, either.

Are you having difficulties with the forum? You appear to be under the impression that I provided the original links, rather than pointing out the already provided links to those, such as yourself, who appear unable to consider evidence which contradicts your prejudices.

You never saw the Star of David retweet?

Or heard the Oct 13th speech about Clinton "meeting in secret with international banks to plot the destruction of US sovereignty", well known anti-Semitic dog whistle terms?

I took great pains to avoid the majority of the media interpretations of this past campaign cycle. I didn't start researching candidates until October, and then I mostly relied on BBC. I have some degree of confidence in their impartiality and lack of partisanship. There's a lot of crap I didn't hear about until after the fact, and a lot that I'm sure I still haven't heard about.

ETA: The "star of david" thing seems like reaching to me. 6-pointed stars get used a lot to make fancy text boxes, they're a canned shape in any word product. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 16, 24, and 32 point stars are all standard. I don't think that the inclusion of a canned standard shape is necessarily anti-semitic. If it is, I'm screwed, since I've been using them to call out important info in powerpoints for years now. Given that they quickly replaced it with a circle, I'm inclined to say that it was not intended to be anti-semitic, and that they showed some degree of sensitivity to that interpretation by moving to replace it.

Did you read the link as to what site he retweeted that from? A white nationalist site using a six pointed star just might have a certain connotation, might it not?

As for avoiding the "media interpretations", I suppose that would explain a lack of familiarity with Trump's neo-Nazi and white nationalist bedfellows.

It was specifically from a white nationalist web site. They certainly intended it to mean the jews when they posted it, then the campaign shared it. So it was certainly intended at an antisemitic meme.

Do you get your power point documents from anti semitic white nationalist websites? Then you are probably OK.

The wave has slowed somewhat, but is still ongoing, the shooting of the Indian techs, mosque fire, plus cemetery vandalism and bomb threats indicate that the hate is ongoing.

Two obviously possibilities spring to mind: Emboldened neo-nazis, and leftists.

I think it's probably a little of each, plus some hoax-type stuff (which is probably mostly in the leftist column, I guess).
Speaking to the latest Jewish cemetery "desecration" in Philadelphia, there might have been some people pushing over gravestones in the Jewish cemetery recently. But's unlikely that a few neo-Nazis would be able to topple 200 grave markers in one or two nights. I've never toppled gravestones so I don't know, but those things look pretty heavy and they seem fairly sturdy.

This is more likely a case of an older cemetery that isn't being maintained coupled with the forces of nature. The ground settles and tree roots grow under the graves until eventually the tombstone is off balance enough to tip over on its own.

Here's some Google maps street view of the cemetery from September 2016. You can go back to 2007 using Google maps and see that this cemetery has been no stranger to toppled tombstones for at least a decade.

So it wasn't anti-semites emboldened by Trump. It was God.

You argue they are sturdy and it would be too much work to push over, while at the same time arguing that they are so fragile they are just falling over on their own. So which is it?

Because God and Nazis are equally powerful. Sheesh.

I apologize for uncovering yet another fake anti-semitic hate crime. Next time spray paint some swastikas so it looks like something more than divine intervention.
