No it doesn't and the medical profession agrees that it should be done before puberty when possible, which is why the current treatment for Transgender children is to halt puberty until the person is ready to decide which gender they want their body to be.

Because we all know that Catholic Priests and Politicians are a far better arbiters of what and how to treat medical conditions than trained medical professionals.

Good god, whatever next, having trained legal professionals deciding how the law works and trained engineering professionals designing buildings and bridges! What would the world come too!

I'm going to guess from this that you're a full advocate of allowing private businesses and groups to discriminate against anyone they don't like which means that this conversation is unlikely to be much use any further, especially since we have already concluded that you deem trained professionals as no better at determining things in their field than untrained people off the street.
