Massive Wave of Hate Crimes against minorities follows Trump election.

The Kansas killing is very troubling, I am hoping it is just isolated incident rather then the shape of things to come.
BTW it say a lot that the guy apparently thought the people he killed were Muslims when they were Hindus.
Here in Norcal we had, right after 9/11, a bombing attack on a Sikh Temple in Marysville by a bigoted idiot who thought it was a Mosque. Ironic given the history of Sikhs vis a vis Muslims.

I think the crisis will come when we have the first serious attack by Muslim extremists in the US.And we all know it is only a matter of time.

Are:
2014 and 2015. In addition, the FBI found that the number of hate crimes against Muslim communities rose dramatically between 2014 and 2015 (67 percent).
Trump was elected in 2014? 2015?

You:
Of the 43 attacks, 24 were directed at Jews—three times as many as occurred last November. The number of bias incidents against Muslims doubled, from two to four as of yesterday.
Who is committing these crimes? I would love to see a follow up.

Sure: Again, who is committing these crimes?

Well, if you can dismiss one of the three pieces of evidence, then obviously the other 2 somehow magically also get dismissed? That's some fine critical thinking right there!

One piece of evidence is bogus to begin with. Fake news, if you will.

The other two fail to create surety. You start with a lie, and then complain when you aren't given the benefit of the doubt.

That's been the problem with this thread from the beginning. People have been more invested in pushing the narrative than discussing real problems.

If you're so sure there's a real problem to discuss, you should probably abandon this thread and start a new one based on honesty.

Which one was fake?

Of course they all fail to create surety when one is certain that they just can't be true. Others, who may not be so wedded to an ideological stance, can read that the NYPD reports hate crimes double, and don't actually see doubt there. Or, in the case of the crimes against Jewish people, one might not be so intellectually dishonest as to say 'well, it may not be a hate crime depending on who is calling in those bomb threats or vandalizing their cemeteries', as though, if it were them evil 'mooslims' what did it, it weren't a hate crime!

No. Because it happened in 2015 it doesn't substantiate the claim that things happened in 2016.

Speak plainly: what claim were you trying to support, with that link?
I admit that that link, which showed an increase in hate crimes which began before Trump's inauguration did not support the claim of an increase in hate crimes after the inauguration. Of course, that does not make it fake, as you claimed.

Speak plainly, what reasons do you have for dismissing the other two links which do show increases in hate crimes since the inauguration?

The campaign lasted more than a year and hate was a major part of the platforms of Republican hopeful, and was YUGE in Trump's campaign and subsequent administration.

As one would expect, hate crimes started to climb before the marmalade president was inaugurated.

I suspect that theprestige's intent was to halt the influx of items that predate Trumps election.

The OP is specifically claiming that there is an increase in hate crimes as a result of Trump being elected... therefore hate crimes committed prior to his election are irrelevant.

And simple non hate crime racial harassment is also irrelevant. Just like shootings by some crazy white supremacist also don't count because the guy is clearly crazy.

Here's something I don't understand - the apparent increase in actions that are anti-jewish.

If the argument is that an increase in hate crimes has been incited by Trump's positions, then I would expect to see a rise in crimes against hispanic people, middle-eastern people, and potentially women.

Where is the increase in crimes against jewish people coming from?

Two obviously possibilities spring to mind: Emboldened neo-nazis, and leftists.

I think it's probably a little of each, plus some hoax-type stuff (which is probably mostly in the leftist column, I guess).

Have you forgotten Trump's use of anti-Semitic language and imagery against Clinton?
