Plenty of attacks? While there have been some, which is too many, the majority seem to be anecdotes, unproven, not attacks but more like harassment, or hoaxes. How do you assign blame for something that can be and have been shown to be hoaxes?

It is like when women on line get rape and death threats, those people doing the attacks can not be taken to be members of the groups they are a part of for some reason.

A threat of violence is punishable. Most dumbass trolls can be found and prosecuted.

After years of declining numbers, hate crimes against Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders are rising exponentially. A report from the Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations found that crimes targeting Asian-Americans tripled in that county between 2014 and 2015. In addition, the FBI found that the number of hate crimes against Muslim communities rose dramatically between 2014 and 2015 (67 percent). That's the biggest increase of any other group listed in the Hate Crimes Report. However, national statistics on hate crimes against people who fall under the AAPI label are still scanty.

Two days before the inauguration, Asian Americans Advancing Justice, a civil and human rights nonprofit, launched a website to rectify the issue. The website, standagainsthatred.org, documents hate incidents and crimes against Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders by tracking stories about hate incidents received from people around the country. The stories are vetted by AAJC staff and posted anonymously.

"We've always recognized that hate incidents have been an issue," said AAJC Executive Director John Yang. "We realized that we really needed a better tracking tool."

Obviously the hoaxers are trying to draw attention to the real attacks that are happening out there. Somewhere. Because they just have to be!

Been following this thread from the beginning and I have to say I'm not on the liberal side this time, based on the evidence.

The DOJ reported there was an large increase. NYPD says hate crimes doubled the week after the election. Several other agencies have reported large increases as well.

I think that qualifies as a massive wave. If the infant mortality, or AIDS, rates went up that much in a week no rational person would argue it was a massive wave.

Hmmm... Hillary won the popular vote (honest, I read that somewhere) so that makes Trump voters a minority by definition. Now the thread title is starting to make sense.

Correction: Hillary won some popular votes in some states, but didn't win the popular votes in enough states to actually get elected. [emoji14]

Yes the properly white states of course get more voting power, by a factor of up to 5 to 1.

In this brave new world there is nothing wrong with illegally threatening people because the cops don't care unless you target people who matter, white christian men. It is the standard of what is acceptable trolling. Death threats are now just trolling and not a crime. So they can't be a hate crime. They are just for the LULZ.

And the school kids chanting build a wall at hispanics are not racist it is just basic kids picking on those of a different race for politically motivated reasons. And when the Trump administration uses a white guy shooting up a mosque as proof of why we need to ban muslims as their only official statement on it that isn't a message either.

But as long at no one gets prosecuted no one got hurt just like in gamergate. We are redefining what is acceptable harassment. At least of appropriate groups. White men getting death threats of course would be a serious issue.
