US Officially Blames Russia

Jared Kushner's own paper reports that US intelligence agencies consider the White House to be compromised by Russia, and naturally the first reaction of the Heil Trump crowd is to attack the intelligence agencies.

You don't think it's outrageous (in the sense of being highly inappropriate) for the intelligence agencies to be withholding information from the President because they don't trust him? If they think he's a danger to the country, they should be making the case to Congress to impeach him, or resign in protest, or both. But what they're doing instead sounds like treason to me.

Frankly, I thought Obama was far more of a useful idiot for Iran than Trump could ever be for Russia, but I imagine the reaction of liberals to an analogous reaction by the intelligence community to Obama would have involved copious accusations of treason and racism directed at that community, along with demands for a purge and perhaps Stalinist era show trials.

I think it's outrageous that we have a president the intelligence agencies can't trust because they're sure he's passing the classified information they give him straight to Russia, and even more outrageous that people are so determined to put party over country that they'd defend Trump on this.

But what they're doing instead sounds like treason to me.

The fact that you think it's the people alarmed that we have a president passing classified information to our enemies who are traitors and not the president passing classified information to our enemies speaks volumes.

It's kind of telling that what Trump is doing is so problematic and on such an unprecedented level that even in your dumb fantasies about Obama that aren't even on speaking terms with the real world, Trump's actions allowing classified information to get to the Kremlin are still worse what you fantasize Obama did (merely being a "useful idiot" for Iran).

Assuming Trump would give a clear order I can't see the CIA etc refuse him.
But for Trump, ignorance is bliss: he wouldn't want to burden his mind with intelligence.

Its doubtful that intelligence agent would be this open with a reporter concerning sensitive details like this. Sounds like bull.

Says the guy who thinks Jews were forewarned in French terrorist attacks, among other things.

Apparently Putin is trying to pull the same crap in the French election......

Indeed, I keep thinking that eventually even some of the hard Left will realise that Putin more naturally aligned with people like Le Pen than any silly communists.

Mind you, I was recently introduced to the concept of "The Regressive Left" as opposed to "The Progressive Left" and that makes a lot of sense to me.

It sums up a lot of Corbyn's fellow travellers although there is also a lot of infighting. I also suspect it is common in other countries as well.

Maybe it's just my audio engineer side, but I cannot listen to that garbage recording (sounds like someone put a high pass filter rolled up to 4k or so or sampled audio playing from speakers with a USB headset mic). If anyone else is having the same problem, here you go:

I'll have you know that it wasn't a USB Headset Mic it was a USB Headphone set USED as a Mic! Everyone's a critic! I say good day to you, sir!
