Exactly how important alt-right ideas had on the election results is difficult to estimate. But the results of these elections important for the right-wing populist movement, however, is crystal clear. What is less known is that three Swedes have central roles in Richard Spencer's new media projects Altright.com.
DN's examination shows that right-wing extremists Daniel Friberg, Henrik Palmgren and Tor Westman hold key positions in his organization. They have all taken place in the company's management, half of the board thus consists of Swedes. Henrik Palmgren, originally from Kungälv, lives for many years in Oregon, USA. There, he is running for over a decade the distinctly racist and anti-Semitic media platform Red ice along with the right-wing profile Lana Lokteff, who is also his wife.

In Brussels, outside one of Parliament's main buildings, Altiero Spinelli building, it has been possible see the EU Party APF Secretary General Stefan Jacobsson and his colleagues line up on stage. "Stop russophobia now" were the words on the printed A4 sheets they held in their hands. The image of the manifestation has been widely reported on the party's website.
The Alliance for Peace and Freedom are several of the most extreme parties represented. Among other things, the Greek fascist party Golden Dawn, Nazi NPD in Germany and fascist Forza Nuova in Italy. Several of the party members are also elected representatives in the European Parliament.
The protagonists of these extreme right-wing parties are also some of the regular guests at the major conference "Conservative Forum" in St Petersburg which gathers extreme right across Europe.
