I often see the term "war on Christianity". Is there really activity against Christians in the free world? I guess in Muslim countries there may be but not in America or Europe or anywhere else in the world.

Most certainly there is a war on Christianity, (and all other forms of religious woo including Islam), everywhere in the World were people are throwing off the shackles of religion, and seeing the harm religion does.

If the town next to you has a Christmas tree on public land, let us say in front of the town hall, and people of other faiths complain about it; Where is the Menorah? Where is the Festivus Pole?, and now the town must (actually follow the rules) and make room for these other displays, Christians declare they are being persecuted and there is a war on their faith.

I am going to say there is not.

A quick Google search turned up quite a number of articles written by various authors complaining that the social left is, in various paraphrases, "waging war" against the Christian faith. So while there may not be any such war in actual fact (i.e., the authors in question may be overstating their case), and while you may not know of any examples of Christian authors using it "in the wild," there do seem to be some examples you could have found easily yourself had you looked.

As to any supposed bias, every side likes to paint their own side in rosy light. The "anti-religious types" are naturally going to style their activities as opposing an inappropriate imposition of religiously-motived policy upon society as a whole. Opposing oppression seems like a good thing. And just as naturally, religious types are going to characterize their own activity as merely exercising their religious freedom, and their opposition as "waging a war" on that exercise -- although perhaps with varying degrees of hyperbole.

Complaining that no examples have been given here seems like a red herring. Plenty of examples are available to everyone, and I don't see why that particular hoop needs to be jumped through in order to make the point.

I'm not seeing a war on Christians, but I do see a war on Christmas.

I'm an atheist myself, so I don't have any sympathy for believers of Sky Daddy in any flavor, but I do like Christmas, it's a tradition.
