President Trump

In my opinion, listening to the tape, he was bragging that women consented because he was a bigshot.

“I’m automatically attracted to beautiful women — I just start kissing them, it’s like a magnet,” Trump told “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush in a conversation that was caught on a hot mic in 2005.

“I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything,” he said. “Grab ‘em by the pussy.”

What does Trump not wait for?

Wouldn't such bragging be the opposite: "they just start kissing me" or "they just grab my junk"? Or alternately, I do these things and "they love it". I do it to them, and they "let me" seems like the same sort of bragging the mugger is doing.

If you could find a quote from a Harvard Law professor who said that his business holdings violate the emoluments clause, that would be one thing. You might be able to do that, but you haven't so far. When you conduct business with a customer that happens to be a foreign government, you aren't receiving gifts.

How about a lawsuit from these guys?

He doesn't wait for an invitation. According to him, they are so impressed with his celebrity status that they won't object.

Perhaps that would be a road too far, trying to convince a listener that all beautiful women just naturally want him.

First, most men wouldn't even consider groping a woman's groin area upon first meeting her because...it's pervy. It's disrespectful. It's rude. It's just plain wrong. Second, do you have any understanding of psychology? Because women didn't slap him or report it to the police is not evidence of consent. Third, the bigger problem here is Trump considering it something to brag about in the first place. I think a psychiatrist would probably say that what Trump was really enjoying was the feeling of power it gave him. Which is what he was really bragging about.

I think we've pretty much covered this. Have the last word and then let's move on. Please? ;)

First, duh, of course it's pervy and disrespectful.

Second, if it happened, not slapping, reporting, or verbally objecting is also not evidence of non-consent.

Yes, let's move on, I'm tired of arguing about it, but I will still respond to any post I feel needs responding to.
