Has he ever had to face a crowd where the majority of the people were those who did not vote for him? Or, like, a normal cross-section of the populace?

He said the crowd reached the Washington monument as he spoke at the US Capitol, despite photographic evidence to the contrary.

It looks like the Washington Post has finally -- belatedly -- made the decision to call Trump's claims false when they are.

Trump claimed falsely that the crowd for his swearing-in stretched down the National Mall to the Washington Monument and totaled more than 1 million people. It did not.....

“It looked like a million, a million and a half people,” Trump said, falsely claiming that his crowd “went all the way back to the Washington Monument.”....

....Trump also misrepresented what happened to the weather during his swearing in.....

It should be a simple (although tedious) matter to compare the gigapixel 2009 pic to the 2017 one. The areas with seats in the front are especially easy to count. Looking to the sections in the rear, the SRO difference is obvious.

The thing that stands out about this quote, and yes of course I'm familiar with it, is that he is bragging about the groping being consensual. It puts the lie to the claim of sexual assault.

In other news , our President is (or at least was) a horndog, not the first time.

No, people who have knowledge of sexual assault do not read consent. It is the worst kind of "they were asking for it." Letting you do it because you are a star sounds like the exact opposite of having received consent.

I don't think many people would interpret his remarks that way. It sounds like he's saying "I can do what I want without any consequences. The broad can't do anything and the law won't do anything." Helplessness is not consent. The dozen women who have accused him of such conduct certainly didn't consent.
 
Trump verbally contradicts photos showing empty spaces on the Mall. That's an argument he can't win. He can only make himself look stupid. And dishonest. Why would he do that? I think the serious answer is: he has a mental disorder. Not to say he's "insane" or "stark raving loony," but it seems increasingly clear he has at least a mild form of mental illness.

Maybe his No. 1 fanboy can explain it? ;)
 
I think he keeps acting like this because he gets good results from doing so. Seems to be working well for him.

He said "they let you do it", so he is not admitting to non-consensual pussy grabbing. Perhaps he has done some non-consensual groping, that would not surprise me, but it's inaccurate to say that he has admitted to it.

For a certain group he will win the argument by making up a lame excuse like the photos were faked or they weren't taken at the exact same moment and everyone showed up right after the photo was taken.

I've already heard the excuse for not that many people showing up for the inauguration. They were working. Which implies that everyone who showed up for Obama was unemployed and on welfare.

They let you do it, especially from the mouth of the aggressor, is not consent. There is a complete absence of any affirmative consent. If they are uncomfortable and don't say something, that is "letting" someone but also sexual assault.

Probably part of the problem is, he won't follow advisers. I'm sure any professional media/political consultant would tell him, "Uhh, Mr. President, sir, that's something we're better off leaving alone." I'm also just as sure Trump would ignore it.

Heck I expect Richard Nixon would have laughed this off, maybe made a joke about it. Even Governor Jesse 'The Body' Ventura showed more maturity and class. Trump is more like Hulk Hogan. Trump is becoming a parody of himself.

I think Nixon was also a chronic liar.

I have a distant relative that lies like Trump. I have met a few people like that. I don't know how to explain it.
