President Trump

Trump's already lost control of his administration and doesn't even know it. Cabinet nominees are saying they won't do what he promised. Republicans in Congress are doing what they damn well please, having been accustomed to ignoring the pres for the past six years already. His inner circle are continuing to "clarify" when he says something stupid. He may well turn out to be the most disengaged president ever.

When you repeat the slogan long enough, "repeal and replace", even the people the slogan originated from quit thinking about the meaning of the act, and get caught up in the mob they got to chant the slogan.

Have people actually stopped listening to Donald Trump?

Today's tweets include:

What are Hillary Clinton's people complaining about with respect to the F.B.I. Based on the information they had she should never.....have been allowed to run - guilty as hell. They were VERY nice to her. She lost because she campaigned in the wrong states - no enthusiasm!

Totally made up facts by sleazebag political operatives, both Democrats and Republicans - FAKE NEWS! Russia says nothing exists. Probably...released by "Intelligence" even knowing there is no proof, and never will be. My people will have a full report on hacking within 90 days!

with little reaction.

I sometimes wonder if at some point, the Trumpmeister may get so fed up, he may just hand in his resignation.

Never anybody like The Dirtbag (as a former Republican senator once called him), but there is some semblance to governors Jesse Ventura and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Both attained office with no political or government experience and both say the experience was not at all what they expected. Schwarzenegger said that he went into office expecting to change government, but instead found governing changed him.

Unfortunately, Donald Trump lacks any semblance of the maturity it would take to grow into the job. The Boy King cannot grow up.

Eh, the same thing happened to Conan.

It would seem that Hillary would have a good case for slander right here. But maybe she's just sitting back waiting for him to self-destruct.

He's never gonna see the Oval Office.

Sadly he will see the oval office unless he drops dead in the next few days. Impeachment takes a while.

Here's his first act: Orders the wall built. Congress refuses to fund it. Trump goes on a Twitter rant blaming everyone but himself. Nothing happens.

I'm now leaning toward "You can only take my money when you can pry it from my cold, dead hands. I'll abdicate before that happens."

Looks like we have a new president:

Paul Ryan

The GOP is certainly not following Trump, and neither are his cabinet nominees.
Trump has done the important thing: give the Republicans a majority.

As a bonus, he's creating a circus to distract from the GOPs dismantling of welfare.

It's very hard to imagine a Republican House and Senate impeaching him for anything.

I think they'd love to work with Pence. They owe Trump no loyalty at all. They would be able to position themselves as saviors of the republic.

Well, I mean.... it's not like any of this should come as a surprise to anyone (except Trump supporters, of course)

This has me scratching my head. Ordering the head of the guard to retire mid-ceremony is silly. Do they have a replacement lined up?

What's even stranger is that the general was first appointed by Pres. Bush and Obama kept him through his full two terms.
Schwartz, who was appointed to head the guard by President George W. Bush in 2008, maintained the position through President Obama’s two terms.

I am pretty sure that was pointed out over a year ago!!!!!

Since most people renew insurance on a calendar basis, very few will lose anything immediately. It's when they go to renew next year that the **** hits the fan and in the interim the Republicans will scramble to get something and blame their inability to do something on Democrats and they will be believed.
By idiots and incompetents, sure. But some will start getting over the wave of **** that shut down their thinking.

I hope.

I think a Ryan POTUS plan is more credible than Pence. So we should look for the GOP to develop a connection of the scandal to Pence.

The mess is growing bigger by the day. Clinton should have won, not the next GOP member in line.

But you can bet the GOP is going to go all out to get Trump in to finalize Trump's position before they start trying to impeach him and Pence both.

 Are these people completely ignorant of the various security organizations, including the secret service, that will be involved?

I think the big protest is scheduled for the day after the inauguration. They've already given out parking permits for 1,200 buses.
