Abortion bill pass in Kentucky

The important thing is that we all agree that my personal beliefs in magical sky monsters is so important that everyone else should be compelled by law to not get treatment for ectopic pregnancy even though it is 100% fatal to fetus and mother. And as proof of this I offer the Bible, which passages will not be specified, and also a vague notion that John Hancock might have been a Quaker or something. I demand you respect my beliefs, both religious and legal, and you should go to jail if you defy them.

I think the common argument now is the heartbeat.

Ahh, and thus we can conclude that switching off of life support to a brain dead person is also murder since they still have a heartbeat.

I think it should be the DNA content. If there's enough DNA content to make a person, that's what you have obviously. And that person deserves protection.

Does this include tumors created by chimerism or parasitic twins where the living tissue has a full genetic code for an individual separate from the host body?

Double Wow. Can "Wake up sheeple!" be far behind?

Translation: It's some crap I heard on Coast-to-Coast or read in a tract handed out at the local ShopWell by a guy who was talking about quantum precious bodily fluids.

What we know: Some of the founding fathers and some prominent people in history were Masons. Most were not. The authors of the documents we think of as our foundation (thereby the term "founding fathers") were not those people. Masonry Mutts have tried to tie in Jefferson, Adams, Madison and Hamilton with no success. They were not Masons. Period. Evidence that maybe some Mason included some reference to their favorite icons is not surprising. Crosses and Stars of David and Crescent Moons adorn all sorts of things. Unlike Israel or various Islamic Republics of...., there's nothing in the historical record other than "well it just seems to me...." in lieu of evidence.

Unless you can show a document by the sainted founding fathers that shows that they incorporated those designs to express our Christian origins, it amounts to nought. Your efforts to prove this contention are bordering on ridiculous. The side trip into Masonic Conspiracy Theory is just an entertaining sidebar. Evidently we can take the bigfooter out of the blind but can't take the blind out of the bigfooter.

I'm not trying to prove to you Masons designed DC and the Capitol Mall. I've not delved into conspiracy. I suggested an exercise in education. Personal insult is beneath intellectual discussion and beneath common courtesy. Being rude will not make you right.

What elucidation were you hoping would arise from this 'educational experience' of drawing lines on paper, oh wise master?

Stop beating around the bush, already.

Unrelated.

We were discussing human life, not diseases.

How completely bizarre. If you truly believe that abortion is murder why would you believe in a different degree of punishment? Or do you believe that knowledge of having committed murder is punishment enough for all murder?

I do not agree with killing anyone. Abortion is legal at this point in time. I don't do hypothetical punishments.
Chris B.

And why not? If you believe that aborting a fetus is, without qualification, murder of a human being, then isn't the death penalty for the murderers the logical outcome of your own argument?

(That's assuming you favor the death penalty- if not, change "death penalty" to "life in prison" for any woman having an abortion)

Killing is wrong. No matter what the reason is.
Chris B.

That would be the jurisdiction of morality.
Chris B.
Morality is a subjective, human-made concept. Some folk's morality suggests meat is murder; right now, according to U.S. law, neither is.

So a person on life support is a disease?
How callous of you!

Shouldn't be hard.

Make sure that tail is tucked down nicely as you slink away, at least.

No, the person on life support was unrelated to the topic as you well know.

I'm in no hurry, please try to avoid handing me my hat. I prefer discussion without conflict. If this is unacceptable by your standards, please feel free to ignore my posts.

Wow, you convinced me in a nutshell. Well done, fearless leader. Where do we sign up?

Stay tuned to KY.
Chris B.

I have no doubt that some jerkwater politicians will attempt to criminalize abortion and punish doctors that perform them, as well as the women who have them.

As far as KY goes, that's no surprise, given its excellent modern wonders like the creation museum and that ark thingee.

Oh come now. KY isn't so bad. We gave you Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis. Chris B.

I don't 'know' that because I don't even agree with it.

You introduced the standard of 'if it has a heartbeat.'

Other examples of someone with a heartbeat was put forward. You described such examples (humans with beating hearts) as 'disease.'

I'm just going to conclude that you are now abandoning your previous assertion. You can comfort yourself with whatever rationalizations you prefer.

I prefer discussion in good faith, myself.

Guess we can't always get what we want 'as you well know.'

So apparently now you don't consider that "If there's enough DNA content to make a person, that's what you have obviously. And that person deserves protection."

You do understand that Chimerism and parasitic twins are not diseases, but rather where one twin partially absorbs the other resulting in two organisms becoming one, each with their own separate DNA and maybe even organs, such as a beating heart. The very things that you classified as human life.
