US Officially Blames Russia

Nothing wrong with the press conference indeed. But you should stop using this silly "left" term. None of the resident PTrumpSD™ sufferers are "left", they are mere parrots of the propaganda narrative. Which happens to be liberal, both socially and economically, with the latter historically being a "right" position if we have to use these terms.

Like Mitch McConnell?

I do love your contributions. Keep at it!

Liberalism is still on the right, not just historically so. The problem with the US is that the red scares destroyed the left which, combined with a two-party system, allowed the liberals to present themselves as "left-wing".

I don't know about Germany, but here in Belgium the VLD/MR (liberal party) is still considered on the right just like it has always been, with various forms of socialism taking up the left.

I'm already getting confused about this. The 2 page thing was supposedly being used as an example of unvetted disinformation (not sure what that means exactly). If true, does that mean the 35 page thing is false? I can't download the 35 page document here at work so I'm not 100% sure if it's the same info as the 2 page summary.

Is this plausible?

Which gets a bit of a macabre undertone once you realize that it was the Democrats themselves which employed the Red Scare to destroy the left side of the political spectrum, before turning around and pretending to be the left. Reminds a bit of some serial killer who, after having killed his victim, cuts off their face and wears it while acting out a fantasy of being his victim.

There's 35 pages of opposition research performed by a former MI6 agent. The veracity of the many claims made are largely unknown.

There is a 2 page addendum to a security brief, contents classified and unknown to us as far as I'm aware, which has had some more thorough review done. My understanding is unnamed intelligence officials (as always...) have commented on the sources being verified and potential corroboration of some details.

So some parts of some of the information have some amount of plausibility according to some people in the intelligence community.

Do they stamp entry dates on passports like the US and Canada do? I visited the UK in October, and even though I needed a passport to get in, there's no record on the passport itself of my visit.

If I'm reading the Schengen Agreement correctly, they don't mark the passport for travel from member states.

Same thing happened to me on a France trip in 2000.

Not from member states, but the UK is not a member state (Finland is). I have no idea whether Schengen states stamp (machine-readable) overseas passports, or whether information about entry only exists in electronic form.

Here's a flow chart of the "4chan trolled the "intelligence" community" version. Mad McCain has claimed today that he gave the thing to Comey, so that's "on record" already.

Say what? FDR Democrats have never pretended to be anything; they're just FDR Democrats. FDR probably saved the country from socialism, which FDR Democrats consider to be a Good Thing. That distinction doesn't matter to the right; anything "not right" is left. When Rush and Hannity say that Obama and Clinton are far leftists, no, that does not mean that Obama and Clinton are "pretending to be the left." It means Rush and Hannity are pretending.

Still doesn't hold water. This theory is conflating the chain of custody of some copies of these documents with the claims made in the documents. I'd say some folks who think they are really clever desperately want to overestimate their influence on the world and are massaging the evidence to fit that very ego-satisfying conclusion.

How so? It seems there are archived /pol/ posts from last year referring to "golden shower fan fiction" pretty close to what's alleged here, which Rick Wilson was fed with according to the author. McCain -> IC link corroborated. So we have the McMullin interlink missing, of which I can't imagine how the anonymous flow charters should know about, and some evolvement of the story on the way. Your sentence makes no sense to me. Feel free to elaborate, I'm certainly open to change my mind which is by now selfishly prefering the "4chan trolled IC" version because this would just be so epic.

Mango Mussolini is admonishing the intelligence community right now calling their report garbage. I predict he will replace the leadership of the FBI, CIA and NSA with his own stooges that will only produce intelligence he likes. Welcome to the orange regime.

The claim being made has to do with authorship of the documents or claims made in the documents

The evidence presented has to do with chain of custody of (copies of) documents containing said claims.

Those are two different things. To make the former fit, they would need to demonstrate that Rick Wilson was one of the unnamed sources who supplied the MI6 agent with that story.

I know nothing about the "golden shower fan fiction" whatsoever. What details are similar besides the peeing itself? Because if that's literally the only similarity, then that's just plain old free association.
