For Kapyong: Defending a historical Jesus

@dejudge

I think you are unable to distinguish between "testimony" in the sense of public declaration of belief. And "testimony" in the sense of a description of an event related by a person present at that event, and observing it while in that place.

Which meaning was Paul asserting? You are saying the second, but that is so ludicrous as to defy belief that anyone can seriously entertain such a notion. If forged monstrous fiction Paul had seen dead monstrous fiction Jesus wakening up and climbing out of his tomb, the forgers writing fiction under monstrous fiction Paul's name would have told us about that in unambiguous terms. If I ever see dead people wakening up and walking about, I promise I will tell you, dejudge.

Now, forged monstrous fiction Paul calls monstrous fiction Jesus "firstborn of the dead". That means that following Jesus' resurrection, dead people will also rise and go to meet monstrous fiction Jesus in the clouds. Does that mean forged monstrous fiction Paul is claiming to have seen monstrous fiction Jesus coming out of his tomb? No, because he hasn't seen the other people coming out of their tombs either, but he is testifying to his belief that they will do so when monstrous fiction Jesus comes back to collect them. He can't have seen it, because it hasn't happened yet!

Your post is utter nonsense!!!

Here are the meanings of the word "testimony".
1. a formal written or spoken statement, especially one given in a court of law.

2. a public recounting of a religious conversion or experience.
Do you understand the Epistles now, dejudge?

You don't know the meaning of WITNESS!!!

1 Corinthians 15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

A false witness is a liar.

In court of law a false witness commits perjury.

Since the dead rise not--the writer of 1 Corinthians 15 is a liar [a false witness].

No person named Paul was ever a witness that God raised Jesus from the dead.

Jesus and Paul were 2nd century or later fiction characters in stories about Gods, Ghosts, Satan and the first born of the dead.

That is complete unmitigated balderdash. Monstrous forged fiction Paul is stated by the forgers who wrote in his name in the second century or later to have believed that God raised monstrous fiction Jesus from the dead, because Paul had a vision of fiction Jesus in the sky. Therefore he was not committing perjury, but was merely the victim of delusions and hallucinations.

Your story is modern fiction or unsubstantiated nonsense.

The writer under the name of Paul claimed he and over 500 persons saw the resurrected Jesus.

The writer under the name of Paul even admitted that he would be a FALSE WITNESS if the dead did not rise.

The dead does not rise.

God is a fiction character

The writer under the name of Paul is confirmed to be a LIAR.

1 Corinthians 15:15 ---Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

No person named Paul who was a witness that God raised Jesus from the dead ever existed.

God, Jesus and Paul are all fiction characters.

That means that his religious declarations would be shown to be false. But he obviously thought they were true.

May I observe that you're becoming repetitive on this point, and not developing your thoughts very effectively.

Lies are false declarations.

The writer under the name of Paul lied when he FALSELY DECLARED that he and and over 500 persons saw the resurrected Jesus and that he was a WITNESS that God [a fiction character] raised Jesus from the dead.

Again, God is fiction and the dead does not rise.

What you say does not make much sense. You are simply attempting to hide the fact that up to now you have still zero historical evidence to support your recent unsubstantiated inventions.

But mistaken declarations are not necessarily lies.

You mean your Paul made lots mistakes with the truth!!!!!!

One of the big mistakes in the letters under the name of Paul is the monstrous lie that he was a witness that God raised Jesus.

Jesus and Paul were always fiction characters--they never ever existed.

When one examines writings of antiquity it is easily seen that the character called Jesus of Nazareth was fabricated from Jewish mythology.

So-called Hebrew Scripture is fundamentally about a myth/fiction character called the Lord God of the Jews.

It is claimed in Jewish mythology that people and supposed prophets got words from their myth/fiction Lord God--the Creator.

Examine excerpts of the OT with hundreds upon hundreds of fabricated words of the non-historical Lord God.

1. Genesis 15:1 ---After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram....
2. Exodus 4:28 ----And Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord......
3. Numbers 23:5 ---And the Lord put a word in Balaam's mouth....
4. Deuteronomy 29:1 These are the words of the covenant, which the Lord commanded
5. Joshua 3:9 And Joshua said...Come hither, and hear the words of the Lord your God.

6. Judges 2:4 ....... the angel of the Lord spake these words.....
7. 1 Samuel 8:10 -----And Samuel told all the words of the Lord unto the people.....
8. 2 Samuel 7:4 ---- the word of the Lord came unto Nathan.....
9. 1 Kings 6:11 -----And the word of the Lord came to Solomon
10. 1 Kings 18:1------the word of the Lord came to Elijah...

11. 2 Kings 15:12 -----This was the word of the Lord which he spake unto Jehu
12. 1 Chronicles 11:3 ---they anointed David king.... according to the word of the Lord..
13. 2 Chronicles 11:2 ---But the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah....
14. Job 42:7...... the Lord had spoken these words unto Job,

15. Psalm 33:4..the word of the Lord is right....all his works are done in truth.

Isaiah 9:8 ---- The Lord sent a word into Jacob
Isaiah 38:4 ----Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah
Jeremiah 7:1 ---The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord
Ezekiel 1:3 ---The word of the Lord came expressly unto Ezekiel
Hosea 1:1 --- The word of the Lord that came unto Hosea
Joel 1:1 ---- The word of the Lord that came to Joel
Jonah 1:1 -- the word of the Lord came unto Jonah
Micah 1:1 --- The word of the Lord that came to Micah
Zephaniah 1:1 ---The word of the Lord which came unto Zephaniah
Zechariah 4:6----This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel
Zechariah 7:8 And the word of the Lord came unto Zechariah.
Malachi 1:1 ---The burden of the word of the Lord to Israel by Malachi

The pattern is extremely clear.

People fabricated stories in Hebrew Scripture claiming they were the words of the Lord.

Jesus was a direct fabrication of those very invented words.

Matthew 1:22
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord.......

Examine gLuke

Luke 24:44
And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

All the words of the Lord God are fiction

Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled the fiction of the fabricated words of the non-historical Lord.

Jesus of Nazareth never ever had any history--always fiction.

Now, most blatant liars under the name of Paul claimed they were witnesses that the Lord God raised Jesus from the dead which must be false whether or not Jesus lived.

What we have before us are most monstrous fables of fiction characters called Jesus and Paul derived from the fiction called "the words of the Lord".

The pattern is extremely clear.
I have snipped it a little to save space. As you present it, it is very clear. Why then are you so completely unable to see it, that people must worry that you have entirely lost your powers of discernment? What is this pattern when examined sensibly? I will let you tell us, dejudge.
People fabricated stories in Hebrew Scripture claiming they were the words of the Lord.
Yes, so they did; but what else did they do? What else they did was to relate the words of real people, if the people had predicted things correctly, as if the Lord had vouchsafed the gift of prophecy unto these people. When some significant thing is stated, whether the thing in question is imaginary or authentic, the authors of the Tanakh say that thing is the work of the Lord; or information about it was provided unto some prophet by the Lord.

This practice therefore tells us nothing whatsoever about whether the thing reported is true or false. In either case, the Lord gets dragged into it by the compilers of the scriptures. So that when you state
What we have before us are most monstrous fables of fiction characters called Jesus and Paul derived from the fiction called "the words of the Lord".
you are misunderstanding the point you are trying to make. Paul is certainly not a fictitious monstrosity. But he believed in God, and when some significant idea entered his head, he tells us that it was God who put it there.

Moreover, the invention of fabulous stories about people doesn't mean they didn't exist. A fabricator of tales produced many monstrous fiction stories about William Tell, who in fact didn't exist. Another fabricator produced monstrous fiction stories about William Wallace, who in fact did exist. So that can happen both to fictitious and to authentic characters.

@ dejudge

Let us look at a phoney prophecy of a real event.
Cyrus’s decree releasing the Jewish people, in fulfillment of prophecy, is recorded in 2 Chronicles 36:22–23: “Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing: ‘Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, “The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah ... '"
Was the Temple rebuilt? Yes. Did this happen in order to fulfil the word of the Lord given to Jeremiah? No it didn't. The prophecies about the rebuilding of the Temple were concocted after the event. But that doesn't mean the event was fictitious; it means merely that the prophecy was a later fabrication.

Jesus and Paul never existed--they were always fiction characters without a shred of history.

The fiction character Jesus was invented with the fiction called the "words of the Lord" in Hebrew Scripture.

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

From the beginning Jesus was fiction, with fiction and was made fiction!!!

Writers of antiquity attempted to turn fiction [the word of the Lord] into flesh.

John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

What fiction!!!

Jesus is the only begotten son of the non-historical Lord God the Father.

Jesus was fathered by fiction.

Liars under the name of Paul claimed they and over 500 persons were seen of the non-historical resurrected Jesus.

Now, examine the writing called the Panarion attributed to Epiphanius

http://jacksonsnyder.com/yah/manuscript-library/the panarion of epiphanius of salamis.pdf

They are at least 50 versions of the Jesus story--all incoherent uncorroborated non-historical garbage.

The Panarion is evidence that the Jesus character never ever had any historical evidence and was always a fabricated product of fiction/myth.

If Jesus never existed then he had no disciples called Peter/Cephas.

Liars under the name of Paul claimed they met Peter/Cephas in Jerusalem and stayed with him for 15 days.

Galatians 1:18
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.

What a pack of lies!!!

Cephas/Peter was a fiction character in the Gospels--a disciple of the son of a Ghost.

Your reasoning is not sound. Let's try it another way.

Suppose I want to refute the existence of Merlin and Sir Mordred, the companions of King Arthur. Is it enough to say "Arthur is supposed to have had a magic sword. But nobody has a magic sword. Therefore there could have been no Arthur. People who don't exist have no companions. Therefore there was no Merlin, and no Mordred". Now it is very probable that these characters are indeed fictitious, but the magic sword argument is not a valid way of proving it. Because there is another possibility: Arthur did exist, but he had a normal sword, and the story about the magic sword is an elaborated fiction told about a real person.

That's quite possible, and that possibility invalidates your arguments. For example, Jesus may have existed, but his mother was not a virgin. We recall - or at least I hope you recall this, dejudge; it would make me sad if you forgot - that the earliest sources, Paul and Mark, tell us nothing about ghosts copulating with virgins.

So maybe that didn't happen, and Jesus was conceived in the normal way. In short, the virgin story isn't conclusive as regards Jesus' historicity.

God, Satan, the Holy Ghost, Jesus, Paul and Peter were fiction characters.

Jesus was the son of Ghost and liars under the name of Paul claimed they saw Jesus, the firstborn of the dead, after the resurrection.

But, there is far more fiction!!!

In the Gospels, another fiction character called Peter witnessed the non-historical son of a Ghost walking on a lake.

Matthew 14
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.

26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. ‘It’s a ghost,’ they said, and cried out in fear.

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’

28 ‘Lord, if it’s you,’ Peter replied, ‘tell me to come to you on the water.’

29 ‘Come,’ he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came towards Jesus.

30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’

31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. ‘You of little faith,’ he said, ‘why did you doubt?’

There was never ever any person called Peter who walked on a lake to meet the non-historical water walking son of a Ghost.

I'm eagerly waiting for the "more fiction" you're going to tell me about!

That's right. However it remains possible that there was a person called Peter who didn't walk on a lake to meet the non-historical water walking son of a Ghost

The Jesus stories are total fiction from conception to ascension.

There was never ever any disciples of the fiction called Jesus.

One of the fiction characters was Cephas/Peter.

Cephas/Peter witnessed the non-historical water walking event and conversed with the son of the Ghost as he threaded upon the lake.

In another monstrous fable, Peter/Cephas witnessed the non-historical instant transfiguration of Jesus and the fictitious resurrection of those who were supposed to be dead for hundreds of years.

Examine gMark

Mark 9.2-4
After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them.

3 His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.

4 And there appeared before them Elijah and Moses, who were talking with Jesus.

No person named Peter ever witnessed the fiction called the transfiguration or ever witnessed the appearance of Elijah and Moses talking with Jesus.

Jesus, Peter and Paul were all products of fiction.
