Donald Trump taunts Schwarzenegger over Celebrity Apprentice ratings

Donald Trump has taunted Arnold Schwarzenegger, his replacement as host of The Celebrity Apprentice, saying the actor was "destroyed" in TV ratings.

"So much for being a movie star,"wrote the US president-elect, who described himself as a "ratings machine".

In response, the actor called on him to work for all Americans "as aggressively as you worked for your ratings".

Trump wrote: "Wow, the ratings are in and Arnold Schwarzenegger got "swamped" (or destroyed) by comparison to the ratings machine, DJT.

"So much for being a movie star - and that was season 1 compared to season 14. Now compare him to my season 1 But who cares, he supported Kasich & Hillary."

In return, Schwarzenegger tweeted: "There's nothing more important than the people's work."
He added: "I wish you the best of luck and I hope you'll work for ALL of the American people as aggressively as you worked for your ratings."

(My bold)
Is this how he is going to carry on? vindictive digs and calling out people he thinks have wronged him?

Has there ever been a doubt in anyone's mind that he will?

Yep, Biden's advice is too late. He cannot stop himself, and in fact it appears his ability to control his childish behavior is deteriorating.

Ratings dropped from 6.31 million viewers to 4.95, so he is not wrong, but crowing about it is not exactly presidential.

Let me guess, a government official told you it was always on Friday?
Trump's pattern of repeated gratuitous lies makes me inclined to believe most people's word over his. If multiple intelligence sources, even though unnamed, say there was never a Wednesday meeting planned, I do believe them over Trump, based on Trump's record of making up "facts," and also based on the relationships that exist between reporters and career intelligence professionals.

He said the American public would know "Tuesday or Wednesday" about the hacking information he had that other people didn't. When did that information come out? Did I miss the announcement?

If Trump says he got a letter from the NFL, is anyone surprised to learn he never got a letter from the NFL? Of course not. His supporters give him a pass on countless easily proven falsehoods, continuing to believe that at his core he shares their values. At his core there is nothing. No values beyond self-service. Why anyone would believe otherwise is beyond me.

What makes you qualified to say so?
Oh stop. We've been over this a dozen times. Feel free to say you don't trust my knowledge and experience. But stop asking me what makes me qualified, because I have addressed that many times over: A degree, 40 years of experience, a license to diagnose, multiple professional opinions agreeing with what I said, and Trump is not a private man about anything.

It's not exactly controversial to say that evaluating the subject in person is considered critical to a proper diagnosis.

Also, I had a media fast for while, went back to see what outrageous crap Trump had said, and CNN really did just seem to be doing straight-up reporting. Its alarmist edge is off somewhat and I hope I see a news organization dedicated to providing fair and informed coverage of a controversial president.

It starts by the news media getting out of their confirmation bias continuing to shove the square Trump peg into the 'this is how POTUSs should act' round hole.

They are starting to. Maddow called Trump a liar over and over tonight and Ari Melber (I think) filling in for Hayes tonight laughed when Moore mimicked Trump as, "what a whiner" recalling Trump Tweeting how unfair it was for 10 people to be protesting. They both called Trump a whiner and laughed about the upcoming Women's march on WA the day after the inauguration.

Just watch, Trump's mental illness will make it impossible for him to take criticism and he's in for a slew of it. You just watch how bad Trump is going to get and remember this post.

Melber also was nodding in agreement when Moore said Trump is a malignant narcissist.

Can we cancel the Trump presidency due to low ratings?

I think a good show is the best we can make of it, watch the baby Trump whine and complain every day as the criticism grows and grows. Watch him squirm, it's the least we can do to the creep that lied himself into office.

Your side has proven to be dishonest many times over, why do you think it's always an "unnamed government official". Nothing suspicious there for a skeptic, got to keep the narrative going.

Lol

I wonder if your side is finally feeling it? Do they really realize the defeat they've suffered?
Yes we realise. Thats why we are commenting on it. Its you thats living in ignorant bliss. Question is what will it take, what will Trump actually have to do for you to see the mistake your side has made?
