Are all Trump supporters racists?

Donald Trump is the president-elect because those red state land masses cast their vote for him despite the fact that he is a sociopathic liar, and across the country people voted against Hillary because of 25 years of character assassination built on everything from crude distortions to baldfaced lies. Now we're being told that winning is all that matters, which is equivalent to being told that facts don't matter.

But while you're watching reality TV, reality is plotting its revenge. Facts do matter, and Trump voters are not immune to the destruction that he and the Republican congress are about to unleash.

Did you happen to see the county by county map of the US and just how red it is? It's staggering.

Name calling won't help. It's all over but the crying.

Yes, she had policies that would have helped them. But now they have to bet that trump wasn't lying when he promised to take away their healthcare. Didn't prevent them from voting for him though.

Trump has said the new healthcare plan will replace the old without lapses in coverage. There goes your argument.......Chris B.

He is going to anounce what it will actually involve any day. Meanwhile we are replacing medicare with obamacare.

Buckle up buttercup. Chris B.

We've seen that map after every election, especially those in which D's won big and it is used as fodder for claiming things are so terribly unfair.

I don't deny the wipeout that just occurred, but a map (representation of geographic space) is not the best visual aid for a popular election where we count votes rather than square acres.

Does that mean people will be paying less and will those newly insured under the current system remain covered (again for less)?

You have a peculiar habit of reinforcing your opponents' points, but we'll see how many people are still deceived after two years of Republican plutocrats ramming their rich-get-richer agenda down the country's throat while telling them it's medicine.

One acre one vote!

Every human being is racist to some extent or another, especially by the broad definition currently in vogue. So, yes, all Trump supporters are racist but so are all Clinton supporters.

Everyone lies, which means your priest or pastor is no better than Trump, right? Trivializing racism doesn't alter the fact that progressives fight against institutionalized racism, and "conservatives" are the ones they always have to fight against. Always.

By the way, I think that something that gets overlooked in discussions is something I see all the time: Many white people aren't necessarily prejudiced against blacks as a race, per se, if they blend into the white culture, but they are very prejudiced against the urban black culture. We might argue about whether or not that's "really" racism too, but it's clearly bigotry in any case.

EDIT to add an example: If you talk like you were raised in the inner city, there are many, many jobs that you will never get regardless of your abilities. I dare any "conservative" on this forum to deny that.

Would you therefore claim that spaceman Matt Damon, let's say who affiliates with the Bull Moose party, and is living out his days stranded on Mars, means that the red planet is Bull Moose?

Progressives don't fight against institutionalized racism, they just change the target of it. Maybe their intentions are good but the end result is more racism. Any policy or law which prefers one race over another is racist. They engender the same resentment in the non-preferred race. Until we eliminate race as a factor in the public policy arena, there won't be any progress in eliminating racism.

What sort of job are you thinking about? It sounds like the prejudice you are referring to is what in the UK we would call class. I don't understand why the angle one would take on this would be racial rather than class.

The reason I mention it is that I know several "conservatives" who believe, with some justification, that they aren't racists because they don't discriminate against blacks who have fully assimilated into the white culture. I'm saying that it's still bigotry, and the effect is exactly the same: unequal opportunity.

No offense, but... BS.

When someone talks about state by state, to see how blue or red our Country is, I think it's easier to see county by county of the US to determine exactly how blue or how red we really are.

You have hope Trump will fail, I get it. Though there's no evidence of failure yet......you can still hope for it though. Chris B.

You're absolutely right. Trump could easily be lying, like Obama did when he said you could keep your plan.

I know its the only thing you guys have on him, but don't you think it gets a bit tired using that bit all the time for the past, what, 7 years?

Wow, you really do live in a bubble. I'm sure you've sold yourself the false belief that all Conservatives and Trump supporters are racists......What if you're wrong?
