Liberals and Progressives have been polite and civil for far too long. This is why Cons have the upper hand now. While we've been trying to play fair, they have taken over the election process in many of the swing states.

Heck, even in NC where the Democrat won the Governor's race, the Republicans passed bills in one night to neuter the Governor's office. They set up NC election committee to be "bi-partisan" so that Democrats control the election process on the odd years and Republicans on the even years. Elections only happen in even numbered years.

Because Democrats have been polite, Republicans have killed democracy and now have one-party rule in many states. They have absolute power in those states and can't lose elections because they control the process. They will take this strategy to federal elections and we'll no longer be the U.S.A. Instead, we'll be living under the authoritarian rule of the Cons.

You will be constantly reminded that President Trump got almost 3 million fewer votes than his opponent, and that he's a racist con-man, and that you voted for him anyway. Basically, everything that comes is on you.

I very much doubt you'll find a way to deceive yourself to the same extent after four years of utter disaster, but I guess you can always find some 'other' to blame.

Also, get it in your head that nobody made you vote for Trump but you. You can't blame liberals for making people vote Trump. Trump voters lost connection to reason, morality and reality all by themselves.

Leaving symbols of racist periods around casually tends to make people thinkthat racism is acceptable.

The flag alone didnt make him shoot people, but leaving them around on government property is essentially saying to the victims that you don't care about them. That this sort of attitude is perfectly fine, and it doesn't take much to push a violent racist to the next step.

Nobody's free speech was violated with the flag removal. Racists no longer had their precious symbol on the state buildings, National battlefields removed the silly Coffee mugs with the racist flag on them and other similar kitsch. Many businesses elected to cease selling the flag celebrating human bondage and oppression but to my knowledge no person was made to remove their personal celebrations of racism by the government.

Abortion is a muddy, murky, difficult issue but the fact remains the woman involved has rights to what goes on in her body. Especially when things are forced on that body. If you think this is a black and white issue, you are mistaken. If you think this is going to go away with a Trump presidency, you are mistaken.

It should continue to fly over state capitals as the segregationist symbol it is. That is what got it flown there in the first place. They need to be more open about expressing their true feelings.

No, it's not. Governments are not required to endorse any viewpoint, much less outright white supremacy. As for citizens on their own property - as far as I care, anyone who loves racism that much can get a confederate battle flag tattooed on their foreheads. It makes it much easier to identify the white supremacists, so we can avoid them. What they can't do is force other people to treat them as if they aren't advocating a disgusting view of the world.

Seriously. The constitution protects the free speech of citizens of the US. It does not suggest nor imply "free speech" by the government. In fact, it specifically restricts things "the government" can say.

Not sure what you mean by misinformed.

As I mentioned above, my wife was a member of an SBC affiliate congregation; as an assistant to the pastor she received all these communications on a regular basis. Objection to these types of directives were part of her motivation to change denomination to Evangelical Free.
