Yes, because you really need a win, I suppose you're still sore from losing so badly. ;)

Wrong. I'm concerned that the GOP won. I think of the Dems as GOP Lite, at present. I'm not smarting because of dedication to the losing cause. I'm smarting because the winning team are somewhat frightening.

Please continue to think you lost because of too many "old bigoted white folks".

Let's go to the video tape, Marv. It's not his total 65,000,000 votes. It's a sufficient number to swing an election. As the old white bigots die off, Stormfront isn't replacing them with sufficient numbers. The Dems (stop saying "you" and including everyone who's against you as part of one group) lost because they didn't appeal to the middle class white vote and because they could not motivate Obama's record turnout in the millenials and in blacks in certain areas. It wasn't the support levels of the minority vote - those who voted in key states had Obama-like percentages voting for Hillary. It was motivating the ones who didn't turn out. That's where the pain is. (A septuagenarian white lady and a poor communicating Jesuit didn't really do anything to inspire the base they needed to inspire.)

But votes is votes. If one of your most prominent demographics is shrinking (and dying is sort of permanent) it ain't a good thing, homes! If a key demographic is left-handed Nascar fans and they're all leaving the country, then you worry. If your key demographic is old white folks and they're dying in greater numbers than other demographics... you worry.

The last time someone cited Truthfeed, the people in that conversation couldn't figure out if the website was satire or not.

So, I'm guessing that the 'truth' value of Truthfeed is random.

Buzzfeed actually did a study in these new hyper partisan sites that have been coming into vogue lately. Stick to real news sites.

However, during the time period analyzed, we found that right-wing pages were more prone to sharing false or misleading information than left-wing pages. Mainstream pages did not share any completely false information, but did publish a small number of posts that included unverified claims. (More on that below.)

We rated 82 out of a total 666 right-wing Facebook posts as mostly false, for a percentage of 12.3%. Another 169 posts (25.4%) were rated as a mixture of true and false. Viewed separately or together (38%), this is an alarmingly high percentage.

Left-wing pages did not earn as many “mostly false” or “mixture of true and false” ratings, but they did share false and misleading content. We identified 22 mostly false posts out of a total of 471 from these pages, which means that just under 5% of left-wing posts were untrue. We rated close to 14% of these posts (68) a mixture of true and false. Taken together, nearly a fifth of all left-wing posts we analyzed were either partially or mostly false.

This site claims that 3 million illegal immigrants voted for Hillary. I have no idea where the information comes from or if it has any credibility whatsoever. It seems sketchy and likely invented at this point.

Only time will tell. Can the liberals take anymore bad news?

Has anyone heard the report Trump will be able to change the balance of the federal courts, oops more bad news. ;)

I think I know who Trump meant when he said he loves ignorant voters. Can you folks check the ridiculous sources you cite. TruthFeed!!! - Fer crissake!

Again, in my miserably blue state, illegals can get drivers lisenses, were one can register to vote. They cant ask them their legal status for those DL's wonder if they registered to vote at the same time?

At least now we have a president that is going to look at all this.

I'm doubtful that undocumented immigrants can register to vote so easily.

Maybe you could give us some evidence this is the case? Newspaper accounts or something?

Well I'm sure you'll take up the slack, they'll certainly find you inspiring.

Couldn't be any worse than dems killing their future voters through abortion, did you think of that, homes!
And you know those Christians, they ain't killing theirs and they breed like rabbits. Checkmate?

Again you are simply misinformed and provide no specifics at all. Allow me to at least inform you about solar panel prices. In 2015 they dropped 17%. This year they are expected to have dropped at least another 15 percent, and the next 2 years, the price is expected to drop another 40 percent. The need for subsidies has disappeared and is on par with coal prices today not 20 years from now. And that is based on silicon based solar cells. The development of perskovite based solar has advanced at a tremendous rate and if the degradation issues are resolved we can expect costs to be reduced another 50 percent. The big problem remains to be electricity storage. Battery/Supercapacitor development remains to be slow.

Well that is splendid, I should be able to power my whole house and shop, you?

I hardly "cited" it. I said it was likely to be unreliable and possibly invented. How is that "ignorant"?

I doubt if illegal immigrants vote - they usually prefer to maintain a low profile.

When I went to vote my name was on a master list of those registered to vote in the district. Illegal immigrants by and large would face big obstacles to registering. But, my aunt was earnestly worried by this prospect. She's my aunt, so all I said is, "I don't think that really happens much." A nephew of mine was jubilant at Trump's election and I got the notice of an update on his Facebook page. I just said, "We shall see. We shall see."

If Trump is really going to keep a lot of Obamacare, and build a fence vs. a wall, and "work with" current illegal immigrants who aren't criminals then he'll be to the left of many in Congress. This is certainly OK with me.

Couldn't possibly be that he's been the most left president in many people lives. Couldn't possibly be that Obama threatened their very jobs which means their existence. Why is everything race to so many of you on the left?
It isn't Obama threatening their jobs. It is easier to focus on one individual to blame but it's not that simple. Jobs will be destroyed, jobs will created in years to come. Uncoupling health insurance from employment status would help keep American companies competitive worldwide IMO. Companies abroad don't have to deal with this factor.

Maybe Trump's "something better" will be single-payer UHC. I'd be quite happy if he shepherds through a liberal agenda but with code words that give other conservatives cover when the right finally catches on that Trump is turning out to be something of a centrist.

ETA: Of course, that was Trump as of late Monday evening ... tomorrow is another day.

There you go, again! Making up facts easily disproved. I'll see you the 2010 census and raise you the 2020 version, coming soon to an increasingly darkening district near you!

The U.S. Census report that NOT BY PERCENTAGE, but by NUMBER, non-white births achieved a majority of births in the USA as of 2011. The CDC puts that date in 2013. Whichever it is....

You better get to some deporting. Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock.

You got some anecdotal studies to disprove the above? I know, you know a guy who knows a guy in your district who has eight kids, right? The same district with only well-off conservative black people and exceedingly intelligent ex-military(conservatives, of course). Did I miss any other "facts" you've offered from The World Book of Logger?

Oh, and guess what? When you kill off Roe V. Wade, those numbers go higher.

False dilemma.

You've made this a single issue divide, where there are multiple issues. Have you considered that perhaps they are not racist, and that race isn't their largest and most immediate concern? Maybe they voted for him, despite his perceived racist leanings, because of some other reason that is unrelated to bigotry.

Not at all. They chose to endorse a racist and white nationalist, they knew that and chose to endorse him. They might have voted for other things but being racist, sexist and wanting to commit war crimes was not a deal breaker for them. That is an endorsement. The people painting make america white again are right about that.

They endorsed a racist. That is an endorsement of racism.

Ah yes, great. I failed to vote for Clinton, in a state that went MASSIVELY blue, therefore I'm no better than a bigot in your eyes? And you feel justified in treating me with contempt on ISF because I didn't vote for the person you liked?

Even though I didn't vote for Trump AND it would have made absolutely no difference to the votes in my state whatsoever if I voted for Clinton, you feel you are in the right to be insulting and rude to me on the internet? to imply that I somehow support homophobes, racists, and sexists?

They are in the white house in large part due to those who voted as you did. That doesn't bother you more than having an ambitious woman who did not divorce her cheating husband would bother you.

Egads.

I think it would make a difference because a good chunk of the people who supported Trump are gun rights activists, who firmly and deeply believe that the entire reason for the second ammendment to exist is so that citizens can protect themselves from a tyrannical government.

And why everyone who claims Putin is a dictator is flat out wrong. If he was all the russians would rise up to overthrow him. That is why they view Trumps close relationship with Putin as a good thing, we can make america more like russia.

We can kick it off by destroying the free press like trump promised to do. None of these patriots really care about the first amendment after all.

I've watched it over time get worse, but still you don't hear the "n" word like I use to back home in Iowa but that was a long time ago.

How much of that is just political correctness, now that trump was elected they might not feel the need to bow to political correctness as much.
