President Trump

I just know how dishonest the left is, its intelligence guided by experience. If leftist weren't so corrupt and could maybe win an election, things might be different. Either way your AGW will suffer a fiery end. ;)

Get on your knees sinner and bring on the apocalypse. The left is corrupt? LMAO Donald Trump is facing 4 suits for fraud and racketeering.

Yeah, all those dishonest scientists with their fancy book learning and data! We don't need that when we can bring a snow-ball to congress! What'll they think of next? Trying to say that "big-pharma" is better than homeopathy and chiropractic? Pshaw, those dishonest leftist scientists.
Looks like they'll have less grant money to continue their hoax.

Lol, you can stick with homeopathy, I'll stick to "big pharma" and "big oil" and "big farming" ;)

Its not up to me when the apocalypse comes. Yes the left is corrupt, I'm really going to mis Wikileaks.

Since you two don't have a clue, I'll explain it. Obama has done very little to turn this economy around, in fact, he's hurt the recovery because like most leftists, he's anti growth. Its another reason he lost the dems in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Yeah! It's not like Republicans in Congress declared from day 1 that it was their mission to make Obama a 1 term President, and if he was for it they had to be against it! It's all Obama's fault how little the Republicans in Congress have done, because his anti-growth gravity waves sucked them in and they were powerless to do anything to bring about growth! Preach it, brother!

Trump just picked a white supremacist as chief advisor. How do you feel about that, logger?

Not taking long for President-elect Trump to begin walking back some of his main campaign promises. The Wall may be a fence? Jailing Hillary:
“It’s not something I’ve given a lot of thought...” Link

But his surrogate Kellyanne Conway is warning Senator Harry Reid:
I find Harry Reid’s public comments and insults about Donald Trump and other Republicans to be beyond the pale. They’re incredibly disappointing...And he should be very careful about characterizing somebody in a legal sense. He thinks he’s just being some kind of political pundit there, but I would say be very careful about the way you characterize it.

Reid had called Trump a "sexual predator" and said his campaign had been fueled by "bigotry and hate."

Reid responded to Conway's veiled threat:
In only took five days for President-elect Trump to try and silence his critics with the threat of legal action. This should shock and concern all Americans. Trump has always used threats of intimidation to silence his critics.

Unbelievable.

I feel that you'd call any white person a white supremacist, so it means nothing. You live life in complete denial.

Your feeling is wrong. I'm not surprised, though, conservatives tend to go with what they "feel" is the truth, rather than with facts and evidence.

Steve Bannon is a white supremacist.

It's Trump's potential influence on primaries that they'll be concerned about, so it's the approval of registered Republicans that signifies. That could be chipped away, at which point the very unkind things Trump has said about quite a number of Republicans will come into play.

Ok. I'll believe it when I (hopefully) see it.

Oh, OK. He's anti-growth. So when he brags about growing the economy, it's just part of some kind of deception. I see.

In other news, Trump said he's not too concerned about locking Hillary up. But I thought he was going to drain the swamp.

If Clinton refused to disclose her taxes or put her holdings in a blind trust, I'm sure Trump supporters would find it all hunky-dory.

Again, the immediate fear regarding Trump is not that he'll become some kind of fascist. That's a distant fear, and one that would happen haphazardly. No, it's that he's another belligerently ignorant man in the mold of Bush (but lacking basic decency), which translates into incompetent empire management.

I looked to see if Christopher Buckley had anything to say about Trump, and found a quote from his father about demagogues from the year 2000:

Look for the narcissist. The most obvious target in today’s lineup is, of course, Donald Trump. When he looks at a glass, he is mesmerized by its reflection. If Donald Trump were shaped a little differently, he would compete for Miss America. But whatever the depths of self-enchantment, the demagogue has to say something. So what does Trump say? That he is a successful businessman and that that is what America needs in the Oval Office. There is some plausibility in this, though not much. The greatest deeds of American Presidents — midwifing the new republic; freeing the slaves; harnessing the energies and vision needed to win the Cold War — had little to do with a bottom line.

GW had a great economy until the last 5 months. He whethered 911 and dealing with dems.
"whethered"? Really, logger, that's the kind of mistake a grade school kid would make.

Your revision is a lie, go look up his numbers.

Thanks for the invitation. I did. Here's the result: USA Outstanding debt:

09/30/2000|5,674,178,209,886.86
09/30/2009|11,909,829,003,511.75

I'll interpret that table for conservatives who aren't able to read numerical data very well: Bush the Lesser doubled the national debt.

Please describe for us how doubling the national debt is "good".

That's part of the story. The debt-to-GDP ratio fares somewhat better.

The US debt situation isn't very good, but it's also far from horrible. The bleeding of the Great Recession stopped and the debt-to-GDP is now slowly receding. Realistically this is the best you can hope for in national debt. Interest rates are low and the US can well afford it's current debt, now and for the next decade. Barring another massive economic crisis, the US debt is not problematic and will in time become rightfully irrelevant.

A fairly massive economic crisis is bound to happen in China within the next 5-15 years, but that's another story.

I'd actually rather see the approach used in NE and Maine. Apportion the votes based on the outcomes in the congressional districts, with the additional 2 going to whoever has the most. It would also allow for an even split in some states.

Because gerrymandering needs to be even more powerful. That way you can get 6% more votes but lose just like democrats in the house.

Yes,highly populated areas would have more sway, but they should have. It's not about the land, it's about the people. A voter in New York shouldn't have any less power than a voter in Montana, just because he lives there.

But it is all about giving white americans more political power. That is the goal here.

Melania was a professional model, that's what they do. In my opinion she should be proud of her work, and own it both morally and legally. She has nothing to be ashamed of.

Donald, on the other hand, probably groped and forced himself on dozens of models before he found her.

The only people who should take issue with it are those who felt it bad for a first lady to expose her arms like with Michelle. THough that probably had more to do with the color of the skin exposed than the amount.

Tearing up the Paris accord wouldn't bother me, but scrapping Obamacare is a different matter. 22 million people will be disenfranchised, including myself. I'm not poor, but I am self-employed, and have a pre-existing condition (diabetes) so I will go back to uninsured status shortly.

That is the price of the election. He has called for a special session of congress to do exactly that.

You might just have to resign yourself to being a casualty of the election.
