The Unofficial Election 2016 Results Thread PLEASE

The story of the night seems to be Democrats were willing to let perfect be the enemy of good.

Turnout
2012 Obama: 65.9m
2016 Clinton: 59.1m = -6.8m
2012 Romney: 60.9m
2016 Donald: 59m = -1.9m

2016 numbers will ultimately rise a little on both sides but that shows how it happened.

Then why does every nonwhite on this planet desperately want to live in white spaces among white people?

That would be a description of immigration. What I described is distinct cultural element. One of the primary rightist critiques of immigration is a lack of cultural assimilation, that they are in the space but have their own culture.

If I have a choice between white culture and all others, I will take all others.

It appears that many Democrats need a charismatic candidate for them to show up to the polls; they won't vote for someone they don't like or aren't super enthusiastic about.

Bill Clinton - charismatic
Al Gore - not charismatic
John Kerry - not charismatic
Barack Obama - charismatic
Hillary Clinton - not charismatic

Honestly it seems that Republicans are smarter and more realistic about how politics works than Democrats. They have terrible ideas on policy, but they fall in line and show up to vote no matter who the candidate is because they know that's the only way to get what they want.

Question: If Hillary had not accepted the SecState job, she would have remained a New York Senator. There's no reason to think she wouldn't have been re-elected in 2012. Would her presidential campaign have been stronger if she had run as a sitting Senator, without the SecState baggage of the emails, Benghazi, Iran etc.?

Almost certainly. I bet she wishes she didn't take the job.

Putin is a honestly a grand master.

Perhaps one good thing about Donald winning over another Republican is that maybe Putin will get Donald to keep the Iran deal.

Or maybe Donald will drop Putin like a hot potato if he thinks it will help him.

Why? You think he's going to nominate atheists for the Supreme Court?

He'll do what he's told to do, and Miike Pence will be doing the nominating, thank you.

Trump may physically make the announcement, but we already know he's got zero interest in doing stuff the President does.

I am not totally shocked that this has happened. I am little unnerved.

I think the Democrats need to look at this as a wakeup call to make an attempt to appeal to rural and blue collar America. Or at the very least, not simply treat them all as backward rednecks/deplorables. It's not that there's not some truth in that, but I dont think it is that group's most defining trait, particularly when weighed against their contributions to the economy at large. It would appear to be a losing strategy to demonize the bulk of the country's workforce and wealth.

THIS

I have been saying this for years. The tendacy of some Liberal dems to ridicule and belittle rural and white Blue Collar workers is incredibly stupid.

No! Don't let her.

A witch's power is in her voice...

She means to hex us all!

I predict within a year you will be screaming about how Trump sold out when none of your White Fatherland fantasies materialize.

Trump will drop the White Nationalist like a hot potato now that he has won and they will be a burden on him.
