It might not be racist but it's silly. If you want big salaries, expect other people to be willing to do the same job for less.

See, very few people could tell my boy is black. We're both passing, but he has his mother's eyes, a bit darker blue. Anyway, he's not the only one, so that black blood is just gonna keep a mixin. As will asian, white, Hispanic, Jewish, etc...

No mainstream Democrat would.

Democrats choose poorly because Hillary isn't particularly likeable and has a bunch of baggage. A more charismatic candidate without the baggage but otherwise the same would have won because more Democrats would have turned out for him/her.

But it should be far less a concern in rural area, as barring picking , most illegal immigration goes rather for big cities. And in addition illegal immigration stabilized, in many state it in fact dropped.

So are those concern even valid or are they the xenophobic perception of an aging population ? I do not mean that to be disparaging, I saw the same damn phenomenon in the member of my family : the perception of invasion , of increasing violence by foreigner, when in reality there is no such invasion, and violence dropped (and it is statistically lower for illegal immigratn than the normal population).

So how do you help with that perception, when factual data shows it is misplaced ?

You are speaking in code. How the heck does this have something to do with white people having children at greater than replacement rates? Japan is a homogeneous nation and they also have low birth rates.

Skeptic Tank thinks this is some sort of conflict. He doesn't seem to understand that the main driver of birth rates is poverty.

Yea, I think there is a feeling that the cat is out of the bag with regard to illegal immigration (and I dont mean to derail the thread with this topic, but just an example) and that incremental gains amount to too-little too-late. So people are still frustrated that wages have dropped across the board as a result of the influx of people willing to do the job cheaper. Again, not racist but probably pretty clearly the result of non-Americans causing those wages to go down. And there is some racism there to be sure, but the larger point is the sense of being done wrong, or neglected by the government over the past however long, and now being called racist for harping on it. I have an uncle who is a stone mason in Chicago who pisses and moans endlessly about how Eastern Europeans are taking all the brick work... same kind of thing. Not really race based.

So how do you appeal to that? Acknowledge it is an issue, highlight the gains you've made and have and steer clear of demonizing people if you can.

If you look at the video entitled "immigration and gum balls" you'll see that there is literally no way to avoid the vast majority of this species being in poverty.

This planet doesn't have the resources to keep 8 billion (and fast rising) out of poverty.

A small portion of us can live well, and I intend to be within that small portion.

8 billion is far, far more than we should have ever allowed ourselves to get up to.

We should target a worldwide population of 1 or 2 billion. Sterilize the entire third world.

I saw the brutal truth about nature and life. It's not pretty. People aren't equal and this planet can't support this many of us, and those numbers are skyrocketing.

The only hope for this planet is billions fewer humans.

The environment will be destroyed, and every endangered species devoured. Something must be done.
