That's nothing new. We heard well into the sixth year of Obama's presidency how everything was Bush's fault. It was wrong then and it will be wrong when Trump does it.
Except Obama inherited a disaster from Bush. The same isn't true here.
 
I guess it turns out that you don't need a well organized campaign if you're a Republican. Just pander to bigots/idiots/crazies hard enough and they will flock to you.

I'm not sure if there is anything that can be done besides wait for these people to die out.

I was an Obama supporter in 2008 but Obama continued Bush's criminal wars on the Middle East and even started some of his own, with the incompetent help of HRC. He became a criminal just like Bush(and Reagan).
 
Sanders, as a clean candidate would have energized the base, who apparently stayed home.

Sanders, as a white person, may have fallen to the same trope that undoubtedly crippled Hillary.

White progressives have spent years insisting that blacks can't trust or respect or work with white people. I think that black voters, after years of this, saw two white candidates on the ballot and chose a third way this time.
