I'm trying to stay positive. It's not like Trump is going to fight to bring back the CRA or anything.

As if life wasn't marginal enough. I know exactly how I'd feel in their shoes...scared and beaten.

I can only imagine how many struggling people on SSI feel right now. Defenceless might be the right word.

It is the sole reason for Trump's victory.

I don't know many Americans, but I know several who have said the same thing. Were there a million of them?

Maybe it's just me, but I find the cognitive dissonance from the oft repeated (paraphrasing) "Trump may be an immature, sexist, racist, incompetent egomaniac of a business man, but he's definitely the best choice to improve the country" to be the most disheartening concept of the election.

Coming in a close second is the complete disregard for the strength of the US economy as somewhat of an outlier in a global climate of underwhelming Chinese economic growth and the Brexit uncertainty. [emoji19]
 
Luckily, Obama already practised to have Martial Law declared and make himself Caliph of America -
at this point, it's what we all prefer.
 
I guess it turns out that you don't need a well organized campaign if you're a Republican. Just pander to bigots/idiots/crazies hard enough and they will flock to you.

I'm not sure if there is anything that can be done besides wait for these people to die out.
