I'd say a combination of spending very little time in the parking lot compared to in the polling station plus turning off phones early (the signs are outside, in the parking lot.)

Then again, what I think is really preventing pictures is that the 'bus loads of outside voters impersonating people' doesn't exist outside conspiracy theorists' imaginations.

Well, in all fairness, my polling places have posted signs reminding us that our phones must be turned off at the polls. That makes it a little difficult to snap a photo even if you are like me, and leave your phone on (just put it on silent) but don't want to pull it out and get tackled by the octogenarians checking IDs and passing out stickers.

When I was speaking of the ubiquitous camera phone it was in relation to the supposed hordes of people who know a guy who met a guy who said he saw buses pulling up and loading with fifty or sixty thems (we all know who them is, right) piling out to vote. Those people certainly claim to have witnessed it, so someone's spending time in the parking lot, long enough to collect their anecdote, at least. Why wouldn't those gossips have cameras available? None of them?

As mentioned, if there were such pictures, they would be so quickly debunked it'd make Limbaugh swallow his microphone. Churches, retirement centers, etc... arrange to bus people to the polls. Betty Mae Cracker Barrel Duck Dynasty probably avoids those neighborhoods so is a bit suspicious to see all the swarthy people getting off the church bus, I'll bet.

I don't believe the story, I'm just pointing out that (at least in GA) by law we all have to turn off our phones at the polls. This limits the ubiquitous-ness of mobile phone cameras.

My polling place has nice, large windows. As it takes me less than a minute to walk from the parking lot to the car, but up to 45 minutes (depending on the election) of standing in line next to the windows, I just figured people were seeing this through the windows (not that they actually see this). Actually seeing it in the parking lot proper might make it hard to miss the First Baptist Congregation of Souls, King County GA on the side of the "outsiders" bus, thereby making one realize that the "outsiders" are coming from the church 2 miles down the road.
