2016 Presidential Debate III

Smart move on their part, I think the world on the whole is pretty sick of this election and wants as little to do with it as possible. I know I want to throw up every time I think about it.

I on the other hand have been riveted by the race and the commentary on this board, and will feel a little lost without it.

But yeah, it's time to get it over with.

Good evening. Any lip readers in the house? As Trump was saying he is going to wait and see when it comes to accepting the election results, Hillary mouths something. Might as well been "Got him." but it doesn't look like that, but it was clearly a sign of happiness.

Trump definitely exceeded my expectations for this debate, but my expectation was an actual, complete, psychotic breakdown, with incomprehensible babbling.

He did much better than that. This debate allowed people to see a clear difference in issues among the candidates, and it also allowed people to see, once again, a difference in personalities.

Once more, Trump's answers and approach were, "It's all about me."

On policy: He's pro life. She's pro choice. Both would use their positions as "litmus tests" when picking Supreme Court justices.

He would raise the deficit by lowering taxes. She would raise it by increasing spending. Neither one admitted it.

She would keep our alliances roughly as they are today. He would make our allies pay more, or......something.....but he's Trump, so they would. In fact, he took credit for already making them pay more.

It's also their most non-Dem. biased poll, so comparison is difficult.

Maybe fewer Democrats watched this debate than the other two (I almost didn't, I already voted and it isn't like there was any chance I would have changed my mind anyway). And still he lost by a decent margin.

I think the post debate polls are just mirroring election polls at this point as the two that have come out so far look like the actual polls.

She plans on raising taxes to pay for increased spending.

Donald has no plan on how he will give huge tax cuts and increase military spending while not increasing the deficit because it is impossible.

I disagree. I think his response to the "Will you accept the results of the election was so catastrophic to Donald that it wiped out whatever positive things he had going for him in the debate.
He had a decent..not great but decent first 50 minutes, then melted down in the last 40 Minutes.

Preeclampsia
Abortion is not a treatment for preeclampsia. They might decide to deliver the baby early which certainly carries risks but this is not the same thing as abortion.
Uterine Cancer
Performing a c section and removing the uterus is it the same thing as an abortion.
Ectopic Pregnancy
An ectopic pregnancy in the third trimester would be an extremely rare thing. If the pregnancy survived that long the baby may be viable.

Again, there is no medical situation in which you would have to kill a 32 week fetus in order to save the mother's life. You might make a decision to deliver the baby early but that is not the same thing as an abortion. As a society we have to draw the line somewhere and I think most of us would agree that 32 weeks is way beyond that line.

Didn't the Russia thing happen about 30 minutes in? That was a disaster that started the ball rolling downhill for him. Between you're the puppet, praising Putin and refusing to acknowledge that Russia was responsible for the hack, he could not have bungled that question worse. His refusal to accept the election results is also crazy but him declaring his going to govern from the fantasy land in his head where praising him gets you a pass is way out there.

I don't know what she was mouthing, but your question reminded me of growing up in Texas, where I heard *******yankee so often I thought it was a single word. The asterisks sounded a bit like "got him", and those asterisks were pretty much what popped into my head when Trump said that.

You're right. But the point is that sometimes an abortion is necessary to save the life of the mother. I'm not for late term abortions that aren't medically necessary. Unless it's a situation where the fetus has some kind of catastrophic defect, like no brain for example, and won't be able to live anyway. I just don't want a blanket rule that doesn't leave room for exceptions for extreme circumstances.

That's my point: there aren't medical reasons to abort a baby in the last trimester. In those cases, the baby would be delivered normally and every effort would be made to keep the baby alive.

Donald the paranoid, whining lunatic is the story of this debate. I doubt pundits will even say he won this one except Mark Halpern.
His Fox buddy, Sean Hannity interviewed Don T Jr. I only got to this part and I couldn't stomach it:

Hannity: So Frank Luntz gave the first debate to Clinton, but the second two to Trump."
Jr: "Yes"
Hannity: "Using the focus groups..."

What a bunch of BS. Luntz may very well have a hand picked focus group that found Trump the winner of the last two debates. This stuff just feeds Trump's ego.

I watched on my local Fox broadcast channel. It was on pretty much all channels.
Interestingly, while the other channels are now into post-debate analysis, Fox simply went on to normal prime-time programming. (In this case, it's new Lethal Weapon series.)

Cable Fox went into analysis.

What are your medical credentials again?
