The only possible relevance would be any involvement Hillary had in covering up affairs or going after the women, which might speak to character.

And I'd specify actual "going after" them. Not merely "she said something bad about them."

For example, the one that gets the most play time is that she said that Monica Lewinsky was a loon. Said to a friend, who mentioned it in a book.

As if that is something to hold against her. Oooooo, Hillary said something not nice about the woman who had an affair with her husband! She's clearly an evil witch!

But this is actually something that people have brought up as an example of something that reflects badly on her character.

Personally, I'd think it would be worse if she didn't rag on Lewinsky.

I think it is time to wake up and realize that a huge percentage of the American population are terrible people.

I think that is unfair. I think there are a lot of people that feel vested in a bankrupt ideology. I can actually empathize and understand what they are feeling and thinking. Think what you want but immigrants do come in and take jobs away from people that are third and fourth generation Americans. They exert a downward pressure on the labor force. Of course it's not that simple but they don't see it. And along comes Trump a demagogue who stokes both their fears and their resentment and he confirms them. He tells them it's all fixed which they believed anyway. He suggests that he can fix those problems. Not that he really cares or that he can but they don't know it.

They simply want a better life and think back to a fairy tale time in the past where they understood the world a little better.

Interesting that when the stigma of being gay has diminished to the point where only the most recalcitrant bigots even care, the new go-to insinuation is accusing someone of being transgender.

I think it is the same tactic that is used by some Middle East and Asian countries. Their governments deflect blame for their citizens' conditions onto the US. It keeps them from blaming their own government and how it chooses to spend what money it has.

We now have the Trump using that same message of blame the Government, blame the immigrants, blame every conspiracy he can think of for what anyone does not like about their life. There are people who do not like where they are in life and this gives them an out. Instead of having to feel personally responsible for the decisions they have made in life they can simply latch onto Donald's message and blame everyone else.

I linked to a poll a way back that showed this. 33% of husbands say their wives are voting for HRC but 45% of wives say they're voting for HRC.
