She is pragmatic, and, like Obama has learned the lesson that it's better to achieve something rather than aim for perfection and get nothing - her attempt at healthcare reform under the first Clinton presidency taught her that.

I tend to think that her preferred positions are to the left of those that she has adopted as she aimed to get the middle ground. With the way that some of the GOP are turning* on Trump, they're making it more likely that she'll have a bluer congress, so more scope to edge leftwards.

Quaking in her boots. Her biggest concern would be what to attack first. Now the gloss has come off Trump, and he's being attacked from former supporters, the fact that he *is* entertaining, and able to get media attention is *really* going to play against him.

"The strongest Clinton supporters are those who have worked with Clinton, and those who have worked with Trump".

*And any GOP candidate who abandons him must be leaving themselves open to attack on why it took so long, and it's probably too late for the rest to distance themselves over his pussy-grabbing comments - if you need a day to realise that's wrong, then you have problems.
