And you missed the point of Comey saying no one gets prosecuted for this stuff. If people were prosecuted for workplace law violations, it wouldn't be surprising to find more than half the adult population in the US being prosecuted. Every nurse in this country, every doctor, every social worker has violated workplace laws. That is the field I am most familiar with. I believe you'd find the same thing in any industry.

You do know that this is how facts work, right? A "lie" is defined, generally, as a knowing untruth spoken to mislead. So if Trump says something untrue with the intent to mislead, it's a lie. It doesn't matter if he's playing a part. He's expecting others to believe him when he knows the statement isn't true.

He lost $800 million in exchange for a 40% probability of becoming President of the United States. That's a pretty good trade for a billionaire I think.
