Latest polls in battle states:

Virginia: Clinton 45%, Trump 39%
Ohio: Trump 48%; Clinton 43%
Maine Congressional District 2: Trump + 10
Maine (whole state): Clinton 42%, Trump 39% -not in the list of battle states yet, it's firmly 3 electors for Clinton and 1 elector for Trump now, but it may become the other way around eventually-

What some polls are showing is that some people would prefer Trump but they're afraid he may use the armed forces too quickly or he'd be quicksilver as a commander in chief. If Trump manages to communicate his reliance on the professionalism of the high commanders and project an image of a commander who listens to his staff, he could scrape a couple of points.

And there's always the multiple terrorist attack hypothesis for November 5th and 6th.

Wait, wait, wait.
It is September of 2016. You are bragging that Trump has learned that there are times when it is appropriate to keep his mouth shut. He campaigned for over 16 months before learning this lesson. Are you serious? There are less than two months left in the election and you actually said: look how presidential he is - he has learned how to not sabotage himself. :boggled:

Whatever it is, Trump's learning curve has now a better derivative than Clinton's, so I would be better afraid than looking at the ridiculousness of it.

******

And I forgot. Another move for Trump is avoiding the first debate with the excuse of Johnson and Stein not participating in it.

Once he purges the generals to make sure they are ideologically correct of course he will listen to them.

Exactly! If he manages to communicate he'll respect careers and professionalism -and any purge attacks that-, and that parties are not important in the armed forces because "We're all American!" and yada, yada, he'd got it.

Trump up to around 33% in both the "polls plus" and "polls only" on fivethirtyeight.com

A one-in-three chance that a terrible candidate who has so far run a poor campaign will win. :(

Pretty much any other Democrat, including me, would have done better against Trump than Clinton. She needs a whole second airplane just to haul her baggage. Most of the other Klowns in the Kar would have had a good chance of beating her.

I agree. If Trump wins, it may be the biggest (Democratic) party **** up in presidential election history.

Yeah, how dare they nominate someone that has been bullied for so long that people started buying into the lies!?!

At this point it's irrelevant that 99% of the accusations against Clinton are pure fabrications and repetitions of fabrications.

Clinton could have (and probably should have) been elected 8 years ago, with Obama waiting 4 years in the Senate and then taking over. It would have been a slam-dunk both times.
Alternatively, Clinton should not have become Secretary of State: as the likely successor to Obama she always have a target painted on her back.

I fear that now it might be just too late: if people hear a lie often enough, they start to believe it.
This will go exactly to way of Bush and the war in Iraq, when in a few years everyone finally accepts that the email scandal was peanuts, and that they let a madman into the White House instead of a seasoned politicians.

I don't disagree, but it's the reality we live in. Hating Clinton's is sport for the right wing. And the Democratic party played right along. No one should be shocked that most Republicans will vote Republican, regardless of the turd running. No one should be shocked that HRC has the negatives she has (deserved or not). The recent screw up owning up to the medical diagnosis simply plays right into the narrative. How *********** stupid were her handlers dealing with it. Should it matter, no, but we're idiots if we ignore it.

Yes. I spent two years in The Netherlands and by looking back, I learned a lot about America and conditioning.

BULLCRAP! (snip)

I could respond, but it would do next to nothing.

I have got a quite a bit on my plate for a few weeks. Be back after the first debate.

I don't know, I suspect the national morale was not in the mood for Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton seqential Presidencies.

I will never criticize someone for dealing with real-life issues and demands instead of goofing off on this board.

Her handlers aren't stupid and it indeed doesn't matter what you think about their way of running the degenerate pony.

Here's an interesting interview with Scott Adams who is the man behind the Dilbert cartoons and a hypnotist. He pretty much admires what Teh Donald is doing from a professional point of view and thinks he'll wipe the floor with Killary. Lets hope she'll drop dead soon enough and Bernie can continue from the corrupt place where he was stopped. ;)

Hillary needs to rest, and then come back swinging in a week.

And she needs to NOT fall again.

If she falls again, folks are going to have real concerns.
