But that was a childhood disease that affected his body, not- um- a brain issue caused by a fall? Maybe we'll get to the bottom of her "sprained ankle" incident- remember it? Maybe it was a cover for plastic surgery? Or something more critical ?

As one approaches 70, many otherwise minor health issues can turn serious in a hurry.

Not saying that pneumonia is minor, though you seem to be implying that.

2) Minor health prob, she just needs her electronic controls/injector adjusted to (hot).
3) Heinous brain or heart prob comes out. Not fatal, but no chance of getting elected either. Who needs a Pres that blacks out?

FTFY, IMHO. And, yes, I sincerely believe he was absolutely horrible.

By the way, FDR also lied about his own health in the 1944 campaign, which was declining rapidly. As a result, he was elected, and the total unknown quantity he picked as his VP running mate became President only three months into his new term. Fortunately, that unknown quantity turned out to be a pretty good President, but that was luck. He certainly hadn't been vetted beforehand.

That's a good analysis. I especially agree with this part:

And that’s probably a tell for medications that are waxing and waning but rarely at the ideal levels. Or perhaps the underlying conditions have normal variability. Or both.

I've definitely noticed this too, but it hadn't crossed my mind that it was an important indicator of health. It sounds very plausible.

If I were her doctor just trying to make her look good for the next two months, I would hop or up on Prednisone. It does absolute wonders in the short term. Long term, it's pretty dangerous though.

Believe it or not, yes sometimes pneumonia can be very minor.

What is with this nonsense trying to turn a single 'fainting in the heat' incident into some major health scare, as Wolf Blitzer has decided to label it?
